Ya I tried that for about 2 wks and then I had to stop cuz my lower back has been hurting (not cuz of the video but from before)… But ya I felt my abs with the accelerated pilates. U know the girl that is in the front oh my gosh she is so skinny and flexible…
Why don’t you try the modified version? It hardly affects the results. As long as you use the power house, it’s all good. There are three key points you have to remember during the work out: Keep your tushy tight and hold your belly button to the spine and beathe with the movement.
^ I 'll suggest a walk from Aunty's house to mine.. thats the best thing you can do to yourself. hehe
on a serious note, you DUN need it.. you were looking hot on the airport.. but if you insist, I think crunches are the best, since all these winsor plates and stuff is for toning muscles rather than losing some extra fat, I GUESS!
Sajal baji - I just bought the Winsor Pilates workout thingamajig. Haven't tried it yet. My plan is to run three times a week (half hour each day with running 10 mins and then walking a couple mins and then running again) - along with pilates 3-4 times a week. This is all until i lose a the pounds I need to, and then for toning i'll stick with running a couple of times a week and doing pilates more regularly.
Plans tou mere baray baray haiN masha'Allah se, lekin dekheiN kya hota hai.
^ You said it’s A GOOD WORK OUT! With that in mind, I think you should stick to it. The only people that ever lose weight are the ones that stick to one routine. Don’t screw it!
there's no harm in trying new things..you can always mix match things..sometimes combination of different workouts is more beneficial..so maybe, you can substitute one day with pilates and one day with jump rope..one day yoga..one day walking..one day some sport..i find that by doing different things one doesn't get bored and its more fun :)
It's difficult to find out from others what would work for you. Each body is different, as is it's metabolic rate and lifestyle.
Pilates is great but takes a great deal of strength.....you need to commit to it for an extended duration before you see the inches/pounds fall off.
Jumping rope and aerobics is great for cardio-vascular exercise. If you have a great deal of excess weight on you right now, then this is not the best way to begin a training program. You'll be putting undue stress on your joints (especially the knees) and your spine.
I would recommend that you work with a trainer to develop a program and then modify it to work for you at home if a gym-going lifestyle doesn't suit you.
Walking 40 miles or 60 kilometer a day...with intense speed and heavy duty activities inbetween... eat as much as you can...do it at least for 6 months...you will never regain your lost weight back...fact!
PS: Extremely over-weight people should perform the above-mentioned activity with a blanket around them...hmmmmmmm
