گلی آباد تھی جن سے کہاں گئے وہ لوگ

بستی اب کے ایسی اجڑی گھر گھر پھیلا سوگ

سارا سارا دن گلیوں میں پھرتے ہیں بے کار

راتوں اٹھ اٹھ کر روتے ہیں اس نگری کے لوگ

سہمے سہمے سے بیٹھے ہیں راگی اور فنکار

بھور بھئے اب ان گلیوں میں کون سنائے جوگ

جب تک ہم مصروف رہے یہ دنیا تھی سنسان

دن ڈھلتے ہی دھیان میں آئے کیسے کیسے لوگ

ناصر ہم کو رات ملا تھا تنہا اور اداس

وہی پرانی باتیں اس کی وہی پرانا روگ
