What is so Islamic about the abuse met out to these women?
You want something to be done, the starting point is to make suggestions on what needs to be done...suggesting laws be abandoned seems like the wrong way to go about it when, if anything, consistent and meaningful law enforcement by qualified individuals seems to be the problem.
Conflating the abuse (many of which happens in non-Muslmi countries...that goes without say) with Islam itself is a sure fire way of talking about anything BUT the abuse...unless the intent is to use these women to move an ideological agenda forward, rather than real concern for their plight.
So....what steps can be made to ensure a unified, and properly enforced set of laws to guard against these kinds of cases? What social and legal tools are at our disposal?
If i make suggestions as to what needs to be done. What will they do to me? Tauba Tauba I don't want to go thru the same that these poor women went thru. Even if i make any suggestions who will take them into consideration? Musharaf? Just like the way he answered the poor Chinese girl's calls?
