Anyone remember Windows 3.1? That was truly what made windows mainstream.
yep... my first PC had Windows 3.1 on it - ermm - in 1991/1992. and also once I joined University... I wrote my first C program on the 3.1 platform - this was in 1996.
At my first tech job, they were running their file server on OS/2 (good ole Presentation Manager interface) and later switched to Win NT.
All this seems very long ago, but it's only 10 - 12 years. I guess we've just come a very long way in the last 10 years in terms of computing and all.
