Venus played absolutely brilliant tennis. Davenport had number of chances to clinch the match but could not produce that final punch.
This was the longest women final in the history of Wimbeldon.

Damn...Venus...what a comeback!
Looks like this is going to be the last Wimbeldon for Davenport. She's been playing hurt(thigh bruises) for quite some time. She has lost 3 Wimbeldon finals against Williams sisters. So, yeah I was pulling for her but hey Venus just had much more..
Now, it's time for Roddick to make this Wimbeldom all Red, White and Blue.
EDIT: Venus Williams is the lower seed (14) to win the Wimbeldom in an Open era history.

Yeah but Roddick isn't Lleyton.
Andy has been winning second serve throughout this Wimbeldon. In fact, it has been his best in the career. If he does against Federer, he will have great chance him. But that's a big if.
Andy, like always, will be an underdog while Roger will be looking for 3-peat at Wimbeldon.

What an amazing final set and a final match! I watched only the recording of final set. What a come back by Venus. She has risen to her best out of doldrums to win wimbledon… yet again. Incredible :k:
Lets see how Roddick fares up against Roger tomorrow. I just hope it lasts five sets.

That just shows that on grass, Roddick can only be beaten by a complete player like Federer( Though I hope that changes tomorrow for a change).
Talha-- I agree with what you say. Roddick has not been all-power and has been adding to his game (specially net advances on second serves). But Federer is just unbelievable the range of strokes he has.

Having watched greats like Borg, McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Becker, Sampras etc. I still think that Borg was best by a mile. They are all absolutely brilliant but Borg was something else.

I neve rsaw McEn (except for his court theatrics), Connors or Borg. I did see young Becker, Sampra etc.
Gene Roddenberry was also a great fan of Borg -- he named an entire alien race after him.
