So who do you think will win?

My prediction Federer for men and serena for women.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

I hope Sharapova wins:blush: but her form is on the decline since she won last one.

And though Federer lost in french semis and Roddick went out earlier, grass is their turf and I expect them to go all the way. Nadal has had a great year on clay capped by french open title but clay and grass are two different things altogether.

Should be exciting two weeks.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

I want Sharapova and Andy Roddick to win. Is this Tim's last year? cos hes really getting annoying now. I love wimbeldon, anything else is just not Tennis.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Andy Roddice for Mens event and Seerena Williams in the ladies event.
I also have good wishes for Sania Mirza and hope she would give tough time in her second round match.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Tim hennman just won because I didnt watch, I watched sets 1,2 and he lost them. The bookies are missing out on some inner knowlegde.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

o and I HATE sharipova, shes always in my face, whereever i look shes there. Freaking merchandising monkey, I am all for Serena williams, who by the by handled Jonathon Ross very well on his show on Friday. Baichari.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Justin Henin-Hardene made a shock first round exit. First upset of wimbledon is here. Henman survived a bad game to win in five sets.

hiccy-- you kiddin me? Sharapova appears alright on my tv and computer screen!

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

saby, there is too much of her. And she is annoying.

Serena won. Alhamdulillah

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Spoken like a typical girl. Admit it, her beauty just isn’t a match against you.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Sania Mirza of India lost by 2 sets to 1. A good game and from what I saw she could be a force to reckon with in future.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Was sad to see Sania lose but she made a game of it. She lacked the maturity to win this game. When the going got tough she got frustrated and started making poor shots. Her whole expression and body language said it all. She couldn’t keep her composure and focus. But at 18 years old getting to the 2nd round is quite an achievement. I’m sure her talent will attract a quite a few high profile coaches to train her to her full potential.

Oh, and off note, why was she wearing those awful black socks? Doesn’t go with the white gear

And that nose ring…ufff!

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

Sania played really well. she is not a complete player but with age on his side, she will get faster and better. Played a really good match and fought till the very end.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

My heart says Daniela Hantuchova (20 seed) but the reality is that Davenport will breeze through. Men, I don't care.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

sharapova lost ??

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

^ Haww hi, Kaisi baatain kertay ho. She won her opening match. Next match tomorrow.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

muafi chahta huun.. jazbati ho gaya tha sunke..

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

The yearly ritual of henmania is over as Henman loses in the second round.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005

^ :hehe: For the first time since 1995, he went out in second round. Him and Wimbledon are not meant to be.

Ehsan bhai, thanks for understanding my jazbaat

Fourth seeded Rafael Nadal is also out beaten in four sets. First major upset in men’s singles.

Re: Wimbeldon - 2005
