^ (may sound weird but: your definiton would always be) Whatever you like about your father is a definition of a great guy and for things which do not come under liking means you can adjust to them.
And to know how much the guy fits ur definition talk to his father on couple of different occations.

erm.. then i think u have bigger things to worry bout rather than just height.. if that is the only thing u know for now and just the fact that he is shorter than u, u won’t look any further into this particular rishta… its silly i think..
i would say find out more.. and then make ure decision..

That is the whole point, I won’t get an oppurtunity to learn more about him, till i say yes. I have been asked to make a decision on what I saw when he came to our house. He never said a word, while I was there, so how can i judge him? He just sat there quietly and only thing i got a chance to notice was his height.

One of my beautiful female colleague was tall and much sought after. Many were dying to marry her, but she surprised everybody by finally choosing a guy much shorter than her.
I won't mind if she is taller. But I am not a short guy. I am 5'9"

You don't have much to go on here. I suggest you express your concern (that you don't know much about him) to your parents. See if they can arrange another meeting, a less formal one, so you two can talk.
