the commission made a number of army officers responsible for incompetence, corruption and betrayal to the country. Though the commission did not make directly responsible for the genocide but recommended that a separate enquiry be instituted to conduct atrocities committed by these *******s. No such enquiry was ordered by successive governments but officers responsible for betrayal to the country, were also are responsible for the genocide. These criminals were never taken to task. Some died, many are still alive having millions of properties looted from banks of former East Pakistan.

i got everything clear and right....but tell m when the war between india pakistan started????pakistan declared war at 3rd dec right???but they started genocide from 25th march...is it right???yes i agree with you that, by the separation of east and west pakistan, india was benifited...but my point is why bangladesh had to seperate???all this information i have given...what do you think???is it for india or the pakistani dictators???

i was curious when i saw the thread....i thought i can atleast show the truth to all of you...but after all this posts i think i just waste my time without any result....whatever you say, but this is the truth that pakistani army did a very brutal crime and by denying that wont change the past....if the pakistani army tried for what they did....it wont take back the dead to alive...but atleast the survivors of 71 genocide will think that its not a crime of a whole nation...its a crime of the army dictators...i think.

I think there were some innate mistakes in Pakistani setup at its creation.
Like East was smaller in area but had more population. And then there should have been 2 capitals and 2 official languages etc.
Anyways India did take an advantage and kept on putting oil on the fire.
If appologising or putting army generals on trials for atrocities committed and if it can give bangladeshis some relief then it should be done asap, especially to mend the relations between the 2 countries.
