This figure of 3,000,000 seems to be grossly exaggerated. It is hard to believe that 35,000 or 40,000 soldiers can kill 3,000,000 people within 10 months-which means 300,000 each month and 11,000 each day, even if they did nothing else but only killed Bengalis during the all those 10 months.
The fact remains, innocent people were killed, crime against humanity was commited and you are doing math!
Don't say you wanted to make a point of so called logic.
It does not mater if these victims were muslims or not and no matter who committed the crimes..muslims or not...it was a shameful event.
No remorse??
What kind of person would do that???

I don't know why you're holding an entire army guilty for the crimes of a few.
I personally think Bangladesh should have become an indepdentant country in 1947.
It does not work to have two memebers of the same state with one enemy right in the middle cutting off the two parts of this state wheather it's transportation from the air or supplies.
It doesn't work. Bangladesh & pakistan after being independeant should have formed a common organization maybe like a union of south asian islamic countries along with maldives.
That way there wouldn't be silly issues over language, elections etc.

Reading through all of this is ridiculous. Indians make posts on forums about 1971 & comparing the 2 countries always. They post India vs Pakistan videos on youtube. They post videos of Bangladeshis demanding justice for 1971.
I have not seen any posts by pakistanis about trying Indian generels for the Sikh massacre or Kashmir or the BJP for Gujrat.
Why is Pakistan such an obsession for Indians? get over it guys

Pakistan Army was in direct conflict with Indian Army on the borders of East Pakistan and inside with Mukti Bahni, this is the known fact that and General Tikka Khan’s request to invade Indian territory to destroy Mukti Bahni’s camp ( then a terrorist organiztion as per Pakistan) according to a certain clause of United Nation Organization, does give the impression that the terrorists of Mukti Bahni was camoufalged in the masses of students, peasents an other members of civil society.
There is another known fact and reason of Pakistan surrender in 13 days was appointment of Gen A.K. Niazi the man who should have been stoned to death, if General Tikkah Khan have allowed to do his job, there is little probability of having a bit different results.

this is not correct...i dont know the real number but can you tell me in 16dec 90,000 army surrendered. where all they come from??? do you think all of them come bd in 15th dec to surrender to india???can you guz tell me where did you get those information????
in 25th march pak army killed over 5000 in dhaka. and after that in 27th march they killed over 15000-17000 in keraniganje at a time. ant that was the biggest number they killed at a time in 1971. other thing is in 14-15th dec. pak army along with albodor ,alshams killed almost all doctors, professors in dhaka and dump their body in rayerbajar bodhovumi. is this clear. now tell me killing traitor is ok but killing the proffessors teacher and doctors????why did they do that???

i dont know what you are thinking, that was not a crime of few....the high command ordered them to do so. and thats why high command of that time should be taken to justice.
and the other thing you told is right. i think, british creat bangladesh as east pakistan to creat the same crisis in jommu, kasmir. as bangladesh will want kolkata along with them. now the main thing is bangladesh is not like india or pakistan overall. bangali hindu and muslims used to live in peace for hundred of years..even you can find a mosque and mondir or even girja in a same place.it doesnt make any problem.

Yehya Khan was Kind of desendent of Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq ( these two are classified as National Traitors in history of Bengal and Maysore respectively), he was like any dictator will never let go power out of his hands, latest example is Zimbabwe's President, who donot want to giveup power even though he knew that he has lost...
ZAB was another person who was dying with the lust of power, he wanted to be in power no matter what and ( i don't know what he offered to Yehya) and i'll not be suprised if anyone will tell me that he acutally invited Indra Gandhi to attack Eastern Wing of Pakistan.

This is what A. Niazi writes in his book The Betrayal of East Pakistan.
"The strength of the Pakistan Army was 34,000 troops; Rangers, scouts, militia and civil police came to 11,000, thus the grand total came to 45,000. If we include naval and air force detachments and all those in uniform and entitled to free rations, e.g., HQ, MLA, depots, training institutes, workshops, factories, nurses and lady doctors non-combatants like barbers, cooks, shoemakers, and sweepers, even then the total comes to about 55,000 and not 96,000 or 100,000. The remaining were civilians officials, civilian staff, and women and children."

For argument sake if we agree that Bhutto was dying for power then who doesn’t? But this has nothing to do with Yahya Khan’s not asking Mujib to form the government being majority winner. And it is an absolute lie that ZAB invited Indra Gandhi to attack East Pakistan. The truth is Yahya Khan was a womanizer and drunkard. Knowing that he would loose tussle with Shaikh Mujib, being quite stupid opened a war front from West Pakistan by initiating bombarding many cities of India which actually triggered the war of 1971. Indra Gandhi already furious on 1965 war and refugees from former East Pakistan, bombarded West Pakistani cities and created hell in Karachi, Lahore and other big cities. When 95000 Pakistani Punjabi/Pashto army personnel surrendered shamelessly to much smaller army of India, Indra Gandhi was about disintegrate West Pakistan in to four smaller countries and bent on destroying Punjabi army. Had Uncle Sam not interfered by sending Seventh Fleet and issuing warnings to Indra Gandhi.

bangladeshi faced first attack when pakistani shot sevaral students in '52 for bangla language...we knew about 13 people but pak army hide many bodies. if you cant get your promised salary from your office is it a crime to ask for it????thats bangali did and thats why they were killed without any considaration..
this is the main fact of independent bangladesh.... am i clear in my opinion that not bangali but pakistani dictators caused the seperation of east pakistan???
