Of course I agree he was in the position of authority as CM of the state at that time and certainly was responsible for maintaining control of the situation, resources and harmony. In that he failed.
But that is different from accusing him inciting the riot or committing specific crimes - this needs specific proof.
OBL on the other hand has agreed he was behind 9/11 in more than one of his videos.
Modi on the other hand denied in writing that he did not make the specific statements he is accused of making - please read his response to the EC. If the CD recording that the accusers have does not contain the statements he is being accused of by the press, how can you still fry him for that? (I am just giving this as an example of how falsehoods can spread)
Now, he may be lying in this denial - but if that is the case the government or accusers has to prove it!
I hope you understand my position - like everyone accused he has rights. Just because a thousand people accuse him (998 quoting the first two) does not make it a fact.
Sir, OBL has never stated he is responsible for 911, but only expressed happiness and joy. Nothing more and nothing less. There was no sign of I have planned the attacks and I keep myself responsible for It. Same goes for the bombings on US Embassy.
Regarding Modi, he is one of the best liars in India. He has ordered these killings and every non Hindu will agree on this. I understand your questioning regarding the real proof, when the proof is shred there is hardly anything to prove.
I have deliberately ignored the Ali_R’ response for the simple reason given above by himself.
What they do is never proved as per their self concerned logics and rest of the world is guilty, liar and biased for the same circumstances.

But inspite of all the survivor accounts has it been conclusively proved that it was a bunch of muslim fanatics who torched the train. The bunch could have been anybody. Why hasnt anybody been convicted yet. This is the same point that Ali_R is making.
We are talking about a Chief Minister who publicly acknowledged that he was happy bout the encounter killings by his police chiefs. He should have been arrested and thrown to jail.

not really.After the final round of voting yesterday exit polls clearly show that modi is gonna return to power.But then there is anti-incumbency factor which most of the times proves exit polls wrong in indian elections,as it has happened in 2004 loksabha election where exit polls showed BJP sweeping to power on shining india campaign,were proven wrong by the electorate.so u cant really say so wait till 23rd dec for final outcome with all ur fingers crossed.But as of now Bjp is clearly leading in exit polls.
Not a Modi supporter and so the article did surprise me…possibly if he does win its because the common man voted because of these and his stand on religion etc is not the reason that is driving people to vote for him…For people like us who do not live in Gujarat, the only thing that we come to know of is his action on communal aspects (whatever our opinion on that might be - he is to be blamed or not) while the ones voting in the election are more impacted by the Roti Kapda makaan etc issues…

let me ask you onething, why BJP is strong in places where muslim concentration is more, Andhra Pradesh(9%) & Tamilnadu(5%) has less then 10% muslims and there is no influence of BJP here, they even bring Modi here in election campaign but it didn't work out

Indian public performance in elections are like team india's performance.BTW BJP's support base is mainly middle class and upper middle class group which hardly votes.and can give modi 65% chance coz the one unusual thing happened in this election is young group came out to vote in large numbers especially female(around 80%).and it is to be noted here is that modi is very popular among female voter group of gujrat(may be something to do with his women oriented developement schemes ).on the other side rebles like keshu bhai patel may cut into his patel's votebank(it is to be remembered that kesu bhai was with modi till 2005.and this election he is supporting congress.this election can make or break modi's career cause its all about modi (not between bjp vs cong) and if modi wins this election u can sure see him at center as bjp's pm candidate for primeministership.why im saying this coz even bjp's leaders at center are too weary of modi's rising popularity and this can be reflected by the bjp's sudden announcement of advani as it primeministerial candidate in the midst of gujrat elections.
And modi one thing for sure is gaining popularity among the young generation which is totally against nehuruvian and congress lies.
