They had constraints in worrying about civilian casualties in past but with this regime they don’t seem to care about that, in case of NK if they choose to Nuke them the submarine launched nukes can reach NK in around 5 mins. I am not a fan of the bigot but this problem was mainly created by the Bushes, Clinton and Obama, he should not have been given a chance to acquire these capabilities.

South Korea and Japan are bordering NK. even wrongly guided missile is a defeat to US cause of defending its allies.

The cost of inaction is much higher than cost of action, if Clinton had done the right thing the world would not be facing this threat. Just one US submarine has the capability of annihilating NK in under 5 minutes.

Let us be real and not equate fantasies to reality, USA has the capability of annihilating the human race in a matter of minutes. They seem to be getting more powerful with every minute that passes. With advent of robotics and artificial intelligence their might will increase to levels incomprehensible a few years ago.

Gaddafi used same language as Kim, then they raped him with a sword while dragging his half dead body across the streets and killing his sons, Saddam was even more cocky and then he was hiding in a hole like a rat. My guess is that they will arrange a coup and get Kim and his family killed as there isnt an appetite for annihilation at this point. My odds are on ISIS being annihilated and Kim getting neutralised. It is not about right or wrong but merely about who is infinitely more powerful. They might be completely wrong and the other side still could be completely dead.

I am just stating facts and what I might wish does not change what is. People who can’t come to terms with reality don’t survive. What would help me sleep is if Kim makes the right choice. What artificial intelligence can do keeps many smart people awake and does not help anyone sleep.

and US is not going to do that because it is not as simple as you state. what matters to US is money not peace. They engage world conventional wars to sell ammunition, that’s it. Threatening NK to nuke is just a drama.

My guess is a military coup and assassination of Kim might happen. China and Russia are cooperating so sanctions could still work.

It took joint forces of France, UK and US including mercenries from Isreal aka ISIS to bring down Lybia…unless you live in a lala land as your president lives, Nuking NK or any country in the world is not an option without major set backs on US.

The way they control the economic and monetary and financial markets is that they have gotten away with printing hundreds of billions of dollars so all they need to do for money is print it. They have really no need to sell anything to anyone. They also possess the ability to destroy the Chinese stock exchange and economy with in hours so China is not in a position to oppose them.

Sometimes one has to choose between bad and worse, again they showed a lot more restraint towards civilian casualties and that limits results and this administration is showing horrific lack of concern for civilian deaths and rules of engagement hence the quick fall of ISIS. It is not they didn’t have the capability but they lacked desire to use brutal force. This admin has little or no concern for loss of lives.

Since I was in Kuwait during 2002-03 war, and got some duties in Baghdad and Basra, so i can say that US army did not show any restraints towards civilian casulaties!!!

Here is a good article on how the war might look like, Kim and his generals will be taken out within minutes of the attack. Hopefully China will o the right thing and exert its influence on Kim.
