Yes!!! that is the entire point, they were wrong about the WMD and yet Saddam is still dead and so is his family and so are millions. Rather than issuing threats he should have packed his billions as Bush asked him and left with his family. There are countries like England, France, Germany and even China, japan and South Korea who toe the line. Despite being powerful, advanced and wealthy. It is not about right or wrong but about what is and what is not. They are the most powerful nation in the history of mankind and the wealthiest also and no country has thrived without being in their favor.

I dont believe in right and wrong judgements, I believe in actions and consequences. Of Course morally and from humanitarian perspective it was an atrocious and criminal act but knowing that will not bring the dead back and undo the devastation. Somehow many middle eastern leaders and people have a hard time understanding the relation between actions and consequences. There isnt a single country on the planet which is happy with how the US forces their will on them but they are not willing to accept the consequences any opposition my bring. So the Taliban did not handover Osama but he got killed anyways so why did so many have to die.

In regards to NK Bill Clinton had used the same threat that they will seize to exist, obviously diplomacy has failed, sanctions have failed. What other choice is there if he does not back down. I myself am choosing to cling to the feeble belief that the “checks and balances” of the government will work to prevent this deranged fool from launching something akin to a second cold war and completely and thoroughly destabilizing the Middle East. It has never been about right or wrong or good or bad, the most powerful always have and always will rule the world, you challenge them and resist them and the balance of power decides who lives or dies. Countries that have accepted the inevitable like in Europe, South Korea, Hong Kong etc enjoy amazing quality of life. Countries that let delusions be their guiding light are in ruins.
I think if there is an attack it will be so swift and overwhelming that NK would not have a chance to respond and it will be over in 5 minutes or less.
The US has not even been able to do this swiftly in a country that was already in shambles, had no air defence, etc. I am talking about Iraq.
What makes you think that they could pull this off in North Korea? NK is far superior to Iraq in terms of military capabilities. I think you are grossly underestimating them. And so is your president.
