marvi memon isnt credible, nor is she sincere to pakistan... shes just a loudmouth
im with kalabagh, down with anp, and other parties that oppose it.. i dont know what the latest ppp stance is but this dam should have been built ages ago, flood or no flood... even PM gillani admitted that the creation of KB dam would have saved us from this disaster, and considering his party was largely anti-kb... put 2 and 2 together...

Absolutely agree with you brother. Some points to note:
Marvi memon's love of life i.e. mushi was also trying to get ppl to agree on KB... I wonder why didn't this b---h raise these points then ?
She simply discards all the expert analysis done through decades saying they are outdated whereas geography of KB is still the same.
Even if Gillani and other members of ppp sincere with pakistan, want to build the dam, they will have to face a lot of opposition. Starting from the dracula on top to the lisaniat-zada political parties whose day starts and ends with anti-punjabism.
Get ready for disease epidemics, thousands of deaths, dacoities, robberies as 2 million ppl are homeless.
I think the next wave to floods will probably submerge pakistan completely and is very likely the scenario as our lisaniat-zada political parties and people are very likely to keep opposing the dams and very likely somehow find the fault of punjab in this situation as well.
Hindu cockroaches spreading their venom (spreading lisaniat, love for india) on this thread plz... STFU.
So good luck pakistan !!
PS: I don't belong to punjab so guys plz keep your hate mantra with yourself.
Haha......Thank you for giving out Anti-Pakistan certificates. You are no different than your friends who give people KAFIR certificates. Marvi memon raised TECHNICAL POINTS but you don't seem to have any technical answers. All you can cry is 'those who oppose are anti-pakistanis'. So Sindh, Balochistan and KP assemblies (where PPP, MMA, MQM, and the nationalist parties have been representing their constituencies) are anti-pakistani provinces. The only pro pakistan province is Punjab? Are we living in Pakistan or Punjabistan? You don't accept any technical points raised, you don't accept the resolutions passed by assemblies of other provinces? What will convince you then? You want to IMPOSE it on us. Then lets forget about logic. Come and impose it on us if you have the guts.
First of all, you are either a lisaniat zada person living in KP or most probably a hindu cockroach indian posing as a pakistani and spreading hatred. Besides you have publicly admitted that you are pro-india so most probably you are a yellow-eyed backstabbing, muslim burning hindu himself or their supporter. In either case, such people are the worst scum.
Really, whats so technical about marvi memon's letter ? she herself rejected all "technical" and expert opinions in the beginning of her letter
lisaniat-zada parties like ANP in NWFP and BNP in balochistan no longer represent the majority in these provinces. Both of these parties will get the right buttkicking in the next elections. Just check up Gallup polls. Nationalist parties are the worst scum of pakistan. Such parties are illegal both religiously and morally.
Besides honey, your evil anti-punjab propaganda has now miserably failed as a lot of people I know from NWFPare cursing ANP for brain washing them into not building KB. You and your pro-india and pro-russia anp leaders will soon get a taste of public sentiment... just let the floods pass... then we'll see

Don't insult the people of KP by insulting their chosen representatives. Don't question the intelligence of the people of KP by questioning their choice of representatives. Call us traitors, call us watever you want. You can't bully us anymore.
I think snowy winter you are taking the debate personally when you start referring to people as hindu cockroach. You might disagree with each other but no need to insult. People have different opinions - its just life.
Ho can we punish the ANP for opposing the Dam? We cant punish people for having a different view than us. I do no think the ANP will ever be pro-Pakistan. They only ever talk about Pakhtuns in speeches even though the province they represent is not fully Pakhtun.
There are many advantages and disadvantages of the KBD. Although the case for building it is getting stronger. It is hard to know how much of the water it would have contained but heavy rainfall and flooding is not new to that region in the monsoon and will occur again.
I do believe Terbela and other Dams should be desilted first to extend the life of it.
The opposition to the dam has to be respected and if the dam goes a head fears need to be put to rest. The problem with damming rivers is that it affects the natural environment which could bring up other problems. If the water flow to Sindh decreases it would mean increasing desertification and the ruinifcation of the Indus Delta and mangrove forests.
Not every body from KP opposes the KBD. A lot o them support it too. The only province or should i say ethnic group which probably opposes it with greatest numbers are the Sindhis. The ANP dont support it because they ar into provincial/ethnic politics but by far they do not hold views tpyical to the rest of province in this issue.
The disgusting part of the KBD debate is the timing there is no proof that it would have saved lives, it is just people using the tragedy as an excuse to push a cause they support.

When the Prime Minister of the country, who by the way belongs to a party that is primarily anti-KB to begin with, comes out and says it would have saved lives, proof enough. There is nothing disgusting about the discussion, the only thing you and the anti-KB dam people fear is how there will be awareness now, finally that this was much needed.
And yes, that dictator Musharraf was pretty clear about the need to build KB dam, and we all know hes not even Punjabi so spare me that punjab bullying notion please. So there you have it, the last 3 heads of state were pro-KB, and quite rightly so.
Also, please dont drool over Marvi Memon's letter, theres plenty of other technical literature, BY EXPERTS which outline the need to build a large dam. When India sucks out the remaining rivers long before they reach Pakistan, then maybe we will get our heads out of ANP and other parties rears to realize what a huge mistake we made.
Himalya, when Tarbela was built, it was a KNOWN fact it would last 40-50 years because of heavy sedimentation because of the geography of the himalayas. Actually, the heartening news was that latest trends show silting wasnt as bad as predicted, and Tarbela will give us an additional 30-40 years. So, being built in 1976, it would almost last a century... Certainly a good project, serving its purpose nicely. Now only if we had the same will to build other dams instead creating provincial disharmony and pointing fingers.

Great Post !!!
Thank God that the racist, lisaniat-zada and pro-india ANP was not in power when Tarbela and Mangla dams were being built otherwise they would have tried their ass best to stop the construction of these dams as well citing some retarded reason, probably on the lining "since in our forefathers' time there was no dam therefore there shouldn't be one now and what will india and russia think ? "
Thank God the people in power had the vision and guts to make those dams a reality albeit help from world bank.
Thankfully there are plenty of sensible people out there and plenty of reports which have proposed better alternatives to Kalabagh and thankfully plenty of reasonable people who don’t accuse every person who disagrees with them as traitors. Let us hope the kalabagh or nothing flag waving haters lobby are finally defeated and more dams are fast tracked after 25 years of wasted time. Bhasha will hopefully extend Tarbelas life as well and K-P will hopefully fast track its plan to construct multiple small dams, which have been held back because of the hydel royalty issue.
Gilani for building of certain dams
Salim Ahmed
Lahore—Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Saturday said that dams that are non-controversial must be constructed immediately.
Talking to reporters at his residence in Lahore, the premier said those who are talking about construction of Kalabagh dam now did nothing practically except raising tall claims.
Yeah Pakistan should spend 10 times more money and spend 3 times more time and should get 5 times lesser electricity at triple the cost by constructing mulitple small dams instead of KB just because some pseudo-intellectuals in KP think that KB is disputed and hence Pakistan should break its back constructing 10 alternate dams in place of one at ten times the cost.
Personally I am not very much against small dams and there should have been progress on that as well, but KB is and will remain the best option for Pakistan… I mean why can’t a few people overcome their prejudices and let Pakistani muslims progress ?
Yar whats the big deal ? If KP wants ALL The royalty, it can have it, if the people who will be displaced want compensation, they should get 200% compensation… so whats the problem now ?
The disgusting part of the KBD debate is the timing there is no proof that it would have saved lives, it is just people using the tragedy as an excuse to push a cause they support.
There is no proof that it would not have. There are volumes of reports supporting technical and financial feasibility of the dam. There are volumes of arguments against the dam as well. Why is it that when the reservations of those who oppose the dam have been addressed and offers of guarantees provided, they still oppose the dam? When Sindh says the dam would reduce water flow into the province, Punjab has offered increase in its percentage share of downstream water. Dislocation of people would happen no matter where you build a dam. When you are willing to provide alternatives to those people, why still oppose?
The cost of not building it since 1970s goes into trillions of rupees. Charging emotions of people on these issues for political gains is not a great idea. Why the dam was not opposed for a decade while feasibility was being studied and suitability considered? Why did it become a political issue only after dear old Bhutto took over?
Our farmers suffer. We don't get enough drinking water. We do not have enough power generation. People should come together. Talk things out. Kalabagh is not feasible, build other dams. DO SOMETHING. India is continuously building dams upstream from Pakistan. Are we waiting for droughts?
The mojo jojo ethnic rickshaw parties of Sindh which get less votes than can be counted on fingers are against building any dam. Whatever you do you cannot satisfy them, they blame Mangla for their poverty, but, opposition from KP is largely an ego boosting phenomenon. I have heard the ANP guys say, jo bhi ho, KB Dam nahiN bananey deiN gey
