lets talk abt the MISTAKE Ahsan n Humayun made THROUGHOUT the drama,or which i felt so strongly that i think Hummayun needs to know that this is probably the reason ppl r not liking WILCO as much as they liked Alpha Bravo Charlie…
Do u guys remember Alpha Bravo Charlie or ABC?what was the strongest part of the drama? The Pak Army,of course..throughout the drama they showed Army and its wonderful jobs…in Wilco,they r showing Army and its wonderul jobs too but then,where the hell lies the BIG difference?
let me tell u,my dear GS fellows…i,being a novelist,have been told by all gr8 writers and i have read this sentence over n over in so many Creative-Writing-Manuals that i can neva forget this ONE BASIC POINT…i have been always told that if im writing a story abt a moral value,then neither in the end nor mid nor start,means NOT ONCE in the story i have to write the moral lesson..u get it,guys?..if im writing a moral-lesson-based story then i shud never write the moral lesson in the manuscript…yes,u neva have to “write” moral lesson,u have to “give” it..and there’s a big goddamned difference b/w “writing” n “giving”…
i have to show a situation in the novel,and in the end i only have to tell that this thing happened wd this character..i shud neva give reason of the bad or good that happened wd the character..like i show that this young boy abused n beat his classmate and later that day,this boy himself gets hit by a car…shall i write"jaisa karo gay,waisa bharo gay"in the end?if this story has to be written in an Urdu B exam,then i’ll write the moral lesson with thick marker in the end,but in a novel,u NEVER write it,u leave this all to the reader to DEDUCE the moral lesson,u leave this to reader to understand wt is the lesson ur giving…that is the difference b/w Alpha Bravo Charlie and WILCO…Shoaib Mansoor had given the moral lesson,Ahsan Talish has written the line with thick marker,but this is no Urdu B exam…so that is the reason WILCO is not going THAT popular..
u remember,in ABC…tell me if there was a SINGLE SCENE in which any character had said,“Army is very disciplined”…i dnt recall any…now tell me if there’s a single scene in WILCO where the characters r NOT saying this sentence?For God’s sake,u DONT NEED TO TELLTHIS,JUST SHOW THIS…if u want ppl to believe that Army is disciplined,then SHOW it like shoaib mansoor in ABC did..he showed the Army’s system,their culture,n the way of Army Life..and ppl made an opinion theirselves…in WILCO,they r NOT showing it,like when Aiman goes to CMH,they just showed her in this room n then in Brig Dr’s office,they NEVA showed the DISCIPLINE of Army hospital..still,in the next scene,Aiman is praising the hospital,so wt is the opinion a viewer makes? something like"they’re here to flatter army" or else…
But in the Raju uncle’s scenes,he is always getting annoyed cos he cant get hz pension,that was the ryt thing Ahsan talish did..he showed the old man struggling,but when Raju uncle starts PRAISING sarkaari naukri TOO MUCH,thats where it looks like they r WRITING the moral lesson and with a thick marker…
Number 2,they r not showing much of army,they might in the next episodes bt i’ll call this Ahsan’s bad luck that this drama was made at the time when the Honour of Pak Army has been destroyed..and when ppl no more love Army,so if they KEEP WRITING moral lesson,it’ll look like they r trying to make army popular… they shud show it,which they r not…and the army guys shud have been the real army officers,not the actors…instead,they made the army gal as civillian…lolz…
well…if they had showed it,it was far better but still…lets wait and see…

Very good analysis, although I m not watching this drama (as its not on air in UK) but I understand wht u r tryna say

You know what I missed the initial part of the drama. Not that i forgot to watch it but the electricity was not there

A dinner party was held for "“Major Sarim” (H.S) by his neighbor at Karachi Gymkhana on Saturday at 10 pm. Some of Major Sarim’s close friends, his Dad and Mom and his best friend in “WILCO” Adnan Siddiqi alongside Aijazz Aslam, Nabeel, Shahzad Nawaz, Director Kamran Qureshi, Director Barkat Siddiqui…and others attended besides Seema Ghazal.

Saadia Imam was busy in majaalis, Joyzz was busy in recording, Vinny got stuck on flight delay from Lahore, Zeba reached late from Dubai…

Major Sarim…H.S has performed HAJJ with his parents and has earned heaven for himself…by taking care of his aged Dad and Mom during HAJJ and providing them with every bit of assistance and comfort.

Humayun’s major weakness is kids…as he and Samina are in perpetual prayers to ALLAH to bless them with a baby. Here..he is seen with my eldest daughter Sara’s 8 months old son..Nadir

Well I don't remeber the exact order but I watched the death of that village girl (Beenish Chohan) I think that was the last scene. Then I watched that aiman goes for her interview with Imran Abbass but before that she asked saarim for help.
& that office scene also in which his secratory or whatever (I don't remeber her name, & u can see my interest in the drama from this hehe) comes & tells him abt the work she did a day before.
These were the only parts i was able to watch. Can u help me with the rest?

WILCO's character ADNAN SIDDIQI...playing second fiddle to Major Sarim (Humayun) signs an MOU with Hollywood....and is being cast for a Hollywood movie with TOM HANKS !

ADNAN is all excited about it....just phoned to inform me!

So the episode started with asim glaring at the Army Photographs..He was soo angry when he looked at those photo frames on Amber's Table that he,without sayin a word,left..and when she raised her head she was shocked to find him gone cos he had offered her a ride to her home.....she just shrugs (i hate her)
When she comes back home at 10,that nyt,her father is packing his things(he was going to hilly area to see hz frnd)..she helps him in packing n casually tells him abt Asim that he hates army,even though his own father was an army guy...Subidaar Qurbaan is thoughtful fr a moment then he asks amber wat was the name of his father,she says "Asim's full name is Asim Iftikhar then his dad wud be Iftikhar !" n subidaar Qurban says,"kaheen ye Col. Iftikhar to nahee" (the same old typical relationship between hero n heroin's parents which is discovered only in the end)
Khair,anyways,the next day amber goes to office n tells Asim,or rather shows off ke main ne sara kaam kar liya hai etc etc...asim is a lil embarrassed,even though he doesn't show his embarrassment....
Aiman---Dr Aiman---(Dr Lubna is my cousin's best frnd...she's sooo cute) well Aiman is shown to be very very tense cos tomorrow is her interview for joining Army Medical corps n she's not able to find her Bay Form,Certificates etc..her mom is like "stop being that tensed" but she's not listening to her..she's worrying that how on earth she'll wake up at 6 in the morning..then she remembers that who the hell will drop her to the place...she thinks of Asim,and then goes to asim's house to tell him this but instead of Asim she meets Maj Sarim who was busy reading Da Vinci Code ...he asks abt the interview..reluctantly she tells that she's gonna join army corps...sarim is surprised..but yaar,humaayun is acting so beautifuly..even his surprise is typical fauji surprise....thumbs up to Ahsan Talish...

she tells sarim keh asim ko keh den ake mujhay kal drop kar dey...when asim picks her up the next day,he's like.."why u didnt tell me in the frst place?y u used sarim to forward ur request?" Aiman kehti haike tum ghar pe nahee they,asim is baat per bhi ghussa hota hai ke wo army kyun join ker rahi hai..the best line was."mujjhay lagta hai mere ird gird poori Chaaooony (cantonment) khul rahi hai..aik maj sarim,doosri tum,teesri wo office me faujdaarni" he tells a lil abt amber to aiman....
ZQ faints while shooting,they take her to hospital..for three days ahsan talish remains in hospital n takes care of her(so sweet of him) the next day when she's discharged,he tells her to leave modeling n he also tells her keh ab wo aik show ko host karey gi jo six september pe hai aur ussay kuch army officers ka inter view karna ho ga (ye kuch army officers zahir hai ke Maj sarim hi hon ge..waise i have hated ZQ all my life..but in this drama,she's acted superb)....frm ahsan's body language n his expressions,it looks like he's in love wd ZQ....
The village gal,who was pregnant,dies in the end of the episode.....
i guess that was all...if i have skipped something then do tell me....

and sorry to asma n haris for this delay..
it was a damn slow episode by the wayb
