Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

So I’ve been reading that a few guppies have Wii Fit, how are you guys finding it?? Any weight loss… pls share your experiences. Thanks

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

My husband starting losing weight almost immediately. He looks much slimmer and trimmer after only a few weeks (he wasn’t overweight, just had gained a few pounds in the past few years). I on the otherhand haven’t seen any difference .

no increase in energy ? what abt feeling sore or feeling muscles u didn't think you had ???

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

^ Yup, definitely. And it makes you more conscious of posture. I’ve also loosened up and become more balanced and flexible. All definite perks. And it’s nice to have to see each other’s scores, so we’re motivated to outdo each other – especially in the “Advanced Step” activity. :hula:

that sounds like so much fun....I think I am getting it for sure now...

But would you say it can replace your gym routine?

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

Nothing can replace going for a workout at the gym.

It's not as intense. It really depends on how much you put into it, but most of the activities are low-impact. Good for basic strength-training, flexibility, and aerobics. But if you're a hardcore gym visitor, it probably can't replace that.

I LOVE advanced step! I have a perfect score :-p

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

I agree with Sahar; you can not compare it with an intense work out but it definitely is a good way to excersize daily and you could even add like weights and stuff while running or doing earobics excersizes :k:

exactly.

trust me....Wii Fit is not going to give you the workout you need (unless you dont workout out at all to begin with)...I've tried it...i dont break a sweat from it.

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

I definitely break a sweat from it, but it takes at least 20minutes to get there. And as Shinoo said, you can add weights and such (like my husband does) to make it more intense.

Shinz -- are you serious? the highest I've gotten is 636. They need more routines for that. I wonder if they'll come out with a whole separate advanced step "game."

neither do I ---

re: Wii Fit and weight loss [merged]

I have it..and it has done nothing for me..

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

Oh man is this thing good.

Hubby got Wii for the kids (yeah right) the day before yesterday and today he got me the Wii Fit. First the mean thing examined my BMI (:chai:) and all that good stuff and came up with some nasty analysis of where I am in terms of fitness ().

Then I got on to their program for weight management, set some goals and got goin’.

Yeah, so 20 mins today, running and step. It felt goooooooooooooooooooood. It keeps track of your activity and goals and I even have a personal trainer :hmmm:.

My recommendation: :biggthumb

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

Thanks for the review Niksik. I have been meaning to get it but don't want it end up being stashed under my bed or something.

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

It's pretty good Sidra. Basic, but good. So if you are not a gym person or a fancy athlete, this definitely something to consider.

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

Niki is right, it seems pretty addictive and very entertaining at the same time, so you are going to tone yourself while having fun ..

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

thats really good, but NikSik kindly tell me how much it cost. We already have Wii.

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

$90+tax for the Wii Fit package.

Re: Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Fit

Thank you so much. but will it really work???
