Sister he does not belong to a village or some remote locations he belongs to a big city but I think that u never visited Pakistan or has little knowledge about its culture or traditions. Even I did not see my wife before mangni. Mangni in our tradition means a confirmed nikkah to much extent. meaning that after mangni when I saw my wife picture I could not reject her just because of beauty because my parents have selected the girl on my behalf and thats it. But that does not mean that I was also rewarded with some non beautiful wife. I m jut ellaborating tradition.

If your friend was seedha/ shareef enough to marry the girl to give respect to his parents, he should be seedha enough to accept the wife and live with her ‘happily ever after’.
