Re: Wife Must Consent to Husband’s Desires
Being in charge does not mean ownership. Wives listen to their husbands when their husbands are not demanding unislamic things. Furthermore, with the power husbands have, they have a great responsibility. They care for the physical and mental well being of their spouse. Forcing women (regardless of whether or not it’s physical), is rape, and therefore oppression. And do not forget what the Quran says about oppression. 
We’re to be like clothing for each other, if you are that close to someone, there is a level of respect and affection that supersedes any need to get laid against the others’ wishes. What that man describes is something wholly unislamic, and violates the sacred bond between spouses. Once one spouse breaks that covenant, the marriage is invalid between them. And treating your spouse as though you own them is certainly against the islamic standard.
