Beheading the husband because he was going for a 4th one sounds quite extreme. I'm sure she could've talked it out, or simply left him.

In theory, Pakistan still has the death sentence for murder. Ony problem is our appeals process is so damn long-winded that it takes several decades to actually carry out the execution, unless the government really wants you to die (in which case it still takes around 5 years).

you guys conveniently missed very important points…

1. The guy was supporting three wives. I guess no one understands what it means. It means that he was providing them with boarding lodging and resources for all their needs and of their children. This too in a time when keeping a single wife happy is a daunting task.

2. No one marries just for sex.It is quite dumb to even assume that … If a guy wants some good shaggin he goes to whores or at most keep mistress. ( It is very easy to do that in Pakistan ) Marriage means huge huge responsibilities … both financially and phsychologically … That is the reason why most men in west chicken out and never get married even once.

3. The woman has committed a crime which will have a lasting effect on other women and children. Earlier there were 3 married women and they were supported by a man, financially and emotionally. Now there are 3 widdows and no one is there to support them and most probably their life is ruined … all because of this stupid woman.

4. It is crystal clear that woman knew that her husband wants to marry again for the 4 th time. So apparently man did not try to decieve her at all !!
   Again it is clear that she was not happy with this decision so the best line of action in this case for her was to ask for khula (divorce through court) and make her husband take care of his children ( Islamically, father has to do this in all cases ) and get married somewhere else

as a matter of fact, a death vardict for women is rarity in pakistan; she’ll escape death panelty for sure. Womenfolk receive favour even when they kill someone :halo:

Thanks god they can handle break ups with their boyfriends or this world could have been all-women episode living lesbian lives

I dont think any sane reasonalbe woman would be happy if her hubbymarried antoher woman without permission. So even if its not stated specifically, ITS COMMON SENSE

You have to have a valid reason to marry another woman, and sex is NOT a valid reason

Giving equal rights and having HER feelings hurt, due to something that is ALLOWED..are two different scenarios.

For example a wife would feel depressed and sad if her husband decided to go out on Jihad. Now in this case, one shouldnt give a damn to what the wife thinks.

Similarly, in the case of plural marriage…it is something that is allowed and there is nothing wrong with it. If the wife feels that there is something wrong with it, than its her problem not the man’s.

As per Islamic Law, there are only two requirements for plural marriages:

• Financially and physically able for it.
  *]Able to treat his wives justly.
  There is no such requirement that one needs a reason to marry more than once. Au contraire it is actually recommended to marry more than once, if a person happens to fulfil two requirements.

The Islam I know says to not be an inconsiderate ass.hole to ur wife. Is it not inconsiderate to marry w/o her knowledge or permission? Or do YOU not consider it being mean and inconsiderate?

as i don’t have much knowledge abt wot islam says in this regard… so can u give some incident in Prophet :saw: period in which the permission of first wife was required to get married to the second one. or any hadith u can relate to or any act of Prophet :saw: companion which prove ur point.

I would say that the woman was 'insane' or temporarily 'insane'-by jealousy/anger.

She would be suffering as a widow anyway.

She should be let off - let Allah (PBHN) decide what punishment she would get after death.
