Re: Wife Beheads Husband
No, no I have to admit I'm not too well versed in recognizing the use of sarcasm by others. Its a problem I've been working on for a couple of years.

^Invitation to feminazi attack!
On a serious note, I agree with desimunda. This is nothing to be proud of what that lady has done. I was watching a paki drama last night and in that drama husband married to some other woman without the permission of his first wife. Thats understandable that he did something without his wife's permission but the way the rxn of his first wife showed in that drama was errr pathethic. She acted as if he commited a murder !
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
Here you read ...
Having more than one wife is permissible and appropriate only on condition that equality can be maintained among all wives as required under the Shariah of Islam, and that the rights of all be duly fulfilled. If one does not have the capability to discharge his obligations in this manner, the rule is to keep to only one wife. One needs to have the capability or quality to treat all of them equally and justly without causing the least infringement of their rights. The Holy Prophet sallahu alaihi wa sallam has laid great emphasis on maintaining full equality and justice between all wives and he has given stern warnings against those who do otherwise.
In a hadith, the Holy Prophet sallahu alaihi wa sallam has said:'Anyone who has two wives and he cannot fulfill their rights equally and justly, shall be raised on the Day of Judgment in a condition that one of his shoulders! will be drooping down.' (Mishkat, p.278)
We should, however, keep in mind that this equality of treatment is necessary in things which are within the control of man. For example, the coverage of personal expenses and parity in overnight stays. It refers to the justice in matters of choice and volition. Any discrepancy in this is a great sin. As for things out of man's control, such as the natural inclination of his heart which might tilt towards one of them, there is no accountability there for this is not a matter of choice. However, the binding condition is that this tilt should not affect matters which are within man's control.
So, anyone who thinks of having more than one wife should first think about all those factors and conditions around him and more importantly, look into himself, and figure out realistically whether or not he has the ability to treat all of them equally and justly without causing the least infringement of their rights.

Re: Wife Beheads Husband
His Wife #2 and Wife #3 are now widows... tsk tsk. No female on this forum has uttered a single word of support for wife #2 and #3. What a pity! I hope someone supports them by taking them on as wife #1, 2, 3 or 4. Else, knowing Pak society, their lives are ruined.
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
errr that doesn’t let that woman off the hook by murdering her own husband..right?
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
^ No no of course not.
I'm just responding to those who say the permission fo the first wife is NOT needed in order to re-marry, not trying to justify the murder here.

Please, take some time out and watch the following video by Shaikh Yusuf Estes [Former Christian Preacher]… It will help to learn some misconception about which everyone has become a mufti here.
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
The permission of the first wife must be obtained? This and similar conditions are a result of colonial supremacy. No woman in her right mind will give her husband permission to take a second wife. Such a condition, in fact, vary the permission given by God in the Qur'an. Permission of First wife is not required in Islam in order to be able to marry a second wife.
Islam's approach to polygamy is most balanced and rational and is based on the moral, psychological and physiological demands of men and women. The bottom line is if you can afford to have multiple wives than it is fine.
This person did nothing wrong and it is sad to see such absurd responses.

If you think God has given you permission to go *&^% around with whomever whenever you want by simply signing a nikkahnama, and you think that such actions have no impact on family life, then I don’t know what world you’re living in.
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
Do you know when and why polygamy is allowed in Islam?
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
Yes I really do know when and why polygamy is grudgingly allowed, and quite in fact, discouraged in Islam. If I hadn't done my research, I wouldn't be a muslim in the first place.
Re: Wife Beheads Husband
Good for you. Some people who abuse the 'permission' to have multiple wives are wrong but it does not make the concept or its goal improper. We really don't know whether in this case this person was able to support his wives but what the woman did was wrong.
