a lot of muslim men during the time of Prophet had multiple wives and used to take concubines too..i am not sure how many of them had permission of their wife or wives to do that.

I dont think any sane reasonalbe woman would be happy if her hubbymarried antoher woman without permission. So even if its not stated specifically, ITS COMMON SENSE 
You have to have a valid reason to marry another woman, and sex is NOT a valid reason

You guys either make our religion too religious or too lenient. A guy is only allowed to marry again if the gal is a widow, cant take care of herself. Basically your trying to support her. Plzz read some of the waqiats in Qurran, which tells us when and y Prophet Mohammed married another gal.

The Islam I know says to not be an inconsiderate ass.hole to ur wife. Is it not inconsiderate to marry w/o her knowledge or permission? Or do YOU not consider it being mean and inconsiderate?

The guy must have told his wife thats y he got killed.. imagine had he married without her knowledge he would have survived and not been a victim of his jaahil wife.. its fast becoming a trend among Pakistanis, the ones especially in US/UK/Canada to have their interpretation of Islam and follow that suits them and not the way it is.. sad indeed!
