The weirdest have to be Russian and Malaysian?? From which angle? ![]()
I prefer to be recognized as Pakistani. I’d rather weed out people who have a problem with me being brown.
Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?

Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?
I got a cool one i never heard before. Half south asian and half spanish
Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?
If people mistake you for another ethnicity, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they have a problem with your actual ethnicity. Some people are just rather sheltered or live in areas that aren’t terribly diverse and hence, rarely meet people of varying ethnicities.
Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?
It’s not the people who mistake us as another ethnicity that’s an issue but people who treat you differently after they’ve found out you’re Pakistani. One of my mother’s cousins is light eyed, blond. He has a weird name so you can’t even tell he’s muslim or Pakistani. He has the most hilarious stories about how people’s attitude would change when they find out his ethnicity. If there wasn’t a marked difference from the before and after knowing I wouldn’t even be mentioning it because a little hesitation is understandable. Not everyone does it obviously and neither does everyone care but unfortunately prejudice does exist.

Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?
I know soneone who looks proper mix race! Black and White like a natural lighter version of Rihanna, don’t like the singer but the Pakistani girl is absolutely gorgeous looking. She gets mistaken for being mix all the time. Another one’s blonde and hazel eyed, she looks European but she’s from Half Pakhtun half Punjabi, she tells the story of how her parents kept getting her hair cut so she’d get darker hair someday but then they gave up lol. All her siblings have dark hair.
Re: wierdest ethnicity you’ve been mistaken for?

Interestingly, there was a brazilian series in which part of the storyline took place in India and the Desi characters were all played by brazilian actors.
