well what i had experienced is usually in mixed gathering (especially during mehndi) both parties end up with fights…so yeah so-called paray likhay actually fight on “who is better bhund n who is not as everyone wanted be entitled as best bhund”

You haven’t been to many weddings. Mullahs don’t show up if the thing is no segregated. This just happened last week.

Dude that’s just weird… personally I wouldn’t be uthaa-ying someone’s nakhray, if htey say they wont come b/c of this or that reason, then they can just not come. Dont need their bad vibes there…
I think majority of the desi weddings i’ve been to, theres an invisible partition where men and women automatically sit on opposite sides… i dont think that’s a big deal.

Has anyone had this happen to a wedding they have attended?

That they segregate the women and men and then the women dance whilst they allow the camera man to take their video!

Not only is the segregation rule not being properly followed but then afterwards everyone gets a copy of the movie to watch in the homes.

I dislike segregation because it provides more reason for frivolous activity at least in a public area people will be more reserved and dress more appropriately.

Yep! went to a wedding like that… i thot it was pointless to kick out the guys but then let hte waiters and Dj and camera man stay behind…but hey if that helps them sleep at night, then who are we to say anything I guess this type of segregation is really only effective when it’s a small number of ppl and the girls can trust that their pics wont get into the “wrong” hands…
