Why some people don’t follow the basics!? Like, when they sneeze,cough, they do it with their mouth wide open :smack: And when they drink tea,etc, they make that irritating sound!? Why O why!? :smack:
Aren’t they taught about the need of following these things or they just don’t think it necessary to follow..?

it all depends on one's upbringing, their education level and the area they come from.

I think it's more to do with upbringing. I remember been in the school canteen, we had the same education and lived in the same area but I swear the eating sounds that people made, you would think they were raised by wolves.
I always remember my parents telling us to eat with our mouths closed and not 'smack' your lips while eating.

unfortunately some ppl say manners are trying to be like gora sahib...thank you please..!!!!
but they dont realise these are true islamic values......
I wish more pakistanis had these values...
its gotta be the bad upbringing...

wait the clearing of the throat, is it a simple, “ahem” type or is it more like AAAAAAAAAKHTOOOO kinda clearing? :hehe:

I always cover my mouth when I sneeze/cough, but I was taught in HS to do it in to my elbow…not on my hand..for some reason that stuck and thats how i’ve been doing it all my life.

Another thing which really grates me is when you hold the door open for someone and they don't even acknowledge it, with a thank you or even a simple nod

yeah my question exactly!

why would you sneeze in your hand anyways? all the spit and phlegm just ends up on your hand…and then you wipe it on your jeans. eww gross. elbow FTW :jhanda:

i hate it when no one holds the door for me. if i notice it happens repeatedly with certain people i’d just let the door smack them in their face. :rolleyes:

Since u brought it up, what do do when u sneeze and phlegm comes out and theres ppl there and all and its like all there and u can’t even sneak it away or somethin :frowning:
