Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
LOL:)
Man your comments are hilarious....
Soviets did 90% of the fighting because that was the situation they were in.
If the soviets had a nuke, they would have nuked germany to force it to surrender..
As for America nuking Japan...
With the insane logic you are giving me....Please don't go for a career in the military....:D
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
American's were in the "situation" to do 90% of the fighting in the Asian-pacific region (like the Soviets in Europe), yet chickened out and used the nukes. After 1945, the USSR, China, France, UK and others have acquired nukes but never deployed them in wars they have been involved in, or even threatened them. Only the American chickens of WW2 stick out in this area.
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
Americans had a bomb which could end world war II and save 10 million 700,000 lives.
Like I said don't go in a career in the military.:)
Well since neither of these countries were involved in battles which resembled the scale and barbarity of World War II, they had no need to use Nuclear Weapons.
As for calling american chickens, please see above.
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
Yes, the lives of US soldiers most probably. After all the Soviets lost more than 10 million on the Eastern Front, and they liberated the world from Nazism, but the American’s were not prepared to be so brave. While the Soviets were fighting man to man all the way to the gates of Berlin, the American’s were too scared to land in Japan, so they nuked it from the air. We are all still waiting for you to provide links to all your rather wonderful stats - anything other than Wikpedia will do.
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
The Soviets lost more than 10 million on the Eastern Front because they had no choice but to fight and resist an enemy who was bent on the destruction of their race. Are you completely blind by this concept or does it take more than a 1000 tries before you understand that 2+2=4 and not 22?
USA made the bomb in July 1945 and used it to the end the war.
If the USSR made the bomb in 1945, they would have nuked Germany and brought the war to an end.
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
Not many American’s even put foward this silly argument, when everyone knows America was defeated in it’s objective of keeping Vietnam from falling to communism. To this day the defeat and in Vietnam hanuts the American psyche, and no amount of rationalization has reduced the sense of humiliation. Defeat is defeat.
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
Well those Americans don't know anything about the Vietnam War nor have studied it in depth as I have. Vietnam haunts the american psyche because it was a policy failure not a military failure as such that once the South Vietnamese army was trained it failed to hold back the North Vietnamese Army and fell in 1975.
Do you even know where Vietnam is on a map?:)
Also answer my question...
where was the USA bogged down in Asia during World War II
Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?
You a Canadian-based community college type student knows more about the Vietnam war than millions of American citizens. My you do think highly of yourself don’t you? We are all still waiting for you to back up your so-called facts by independent sources, rather than rubbish from Wikpedia.
