Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?

Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?

United States always had great intention for the world and future because the people ambition about that. Things like free speech, human rights and democracy are one the great things about American people. However, their 'democratically elected' leaders fail to fulfill the dream.

I am sick of argument 'Thank God for U.S, otherwise world would have been a different place'. Definatly different, but that different could have been good, I mean Vietnam to War on Terror. What is so good about it? What is so grand about Iraq? You can argue all you want about democracy but this is not the way to achieve. If, in the end, there is some democracy in Middle East, does it justify the casualties? Since when killing people 'is the price to pay'?

Superpower means that you go to war with every country in the region. Is the world free or their interests? Countries fear U.S not worship it for spreading democracy, one of the biggest failures of U.S as a superpower.

The problem is mindset, if we continue to think in a 'kicking ass' mode things like free speech, democracy and human rights are impossible to accomplish. Only dead bodies will pile up. Right now we are again in long and hard war on terror, no one will argue the premise but actions are corrupt, defile and wrong to say the least. We all know why they are there but when we are dead or old, our grand kids will think it was the right thing to do and the right price to pay.
