todays events?
got to you didn’t they?
yeah me too..
seems like just when teh shock of one thing is over another one is around the corner
from carnage in karachi, to bombs, benazir’s assassination, hotel bombing, now this..and then everything in between, attacking diff leaders, different venues.
Makes my blood boil, and I wish for the worst for those behind it.
But dont let it get you down, if anything make your resolve stronger.
if you feel pain and anger due to this, what that means is you care.
and if you care, channel that into something positive for the nation.
after all qatra qatra mil kar darya banta hai.
just saw the mood so low today and wanted to encourage everyone to turn that angst into action.
do what you can, send a message that they can not control us.
Hmm yeah its well sad. We see news of suicide bombings and stuff all the time. This really brought it home for some reason though. Just so sad. But as you say, maybe this realisation can prove to be a turning point.
x2 I would so love to hear some ideas here. I have 3 boyz who I would love to take over there, theres a big wedding coming up this summer and what an amazing experience this could be for them! Yet, I will not send them because of this kind of thing. I wish there were more I could think of doing other than the "Pennies for Peace" (building schools).
Yup, its a very sad day, its very sad times for a country I would love to call my own but will not and can not till things are much better.
Get Real, Resolve?? We don’t need resolve or positivity,,, we need common sense. 60 years have gone by and this country is run by a bunch of crooks. Who’s thinking of Musharraf now? Be honest.
I know what your saying, and it seems very noble. But its in cuckooland, detached from reality if we think things are going to turn. I gave up on Pakistan and the idiots within it many years ago.
You know guys, looking at the group of Pakistanis we have on this forum, I can say that you are a bunch of nice, intelligent and sensible folk. You have great accomplishments, humility and talent. You are kind and hospitable, sincere and warm. I also know that as an Indian, if I were to get stuck in a cave full of "fundamental extremists" say from some remote town in Pakistan, they would keep me with dignity and feed me well.
It's not the people. It's the negative force.
There's dark forces around us in every thing we do and it is up to us to get pulled by them or find strength in the right path.
What helps is little steps one by one toward a positive goal, or a giant leap if the tug is too hard. We as a muslim community should show unity in our fight for peace regardless of who the negative force in this case is. Let us start by teaching our family and those in our sphere of influence the message of peace. Those who can, provide finances to distract our bored youth toward postive activities, sponsor poor kids education...maybe this way we can help, at least it could be a start.
did u see the ppl wander around the crime scene? they seems like nothing has happened there.
in my recent visit to Pakistan, i went there ambitiously (i even visited schools), but you cant change the fact that no one wants to be changed there.
i hope our khatara politicians sooner realize that they are what they are only because of Pakistan. and i also hope we as a nation also realize that we dont need West's BL**** Guidance. they can keep all the donations, funds to themselves.
is terha rooz rooz mernay say bheter hai we should stop looking for western aid and stand for ourselves If we really wana live!.
and what is they heck is with india...even it is way larger than Pakistan, still it feels insecure. cant they live in their domain and also leave us alone. they realise it now that Pakistan is on the world map for about 60 years, and inshaALLAH it will be.
And all i can to say to each Pakistani. please stop looking at these Jahil Mullahs, and crappy leaders and their made up Hadith-e-Mubariks and do wat ALLAH SWT asked you to do in Quran.
these days all these fasad are on Hadith-e-Mubarik.since these sects leaders cant an agreement on Hadith-e-Mubarik, so we all should keep them aside for a while...and only follow Quran.
Well it's true that no one wants to change. But if you nurture people well, they will change.
The other thing is that really donations that come from Pakistanis living abroad isn't the west's bl***** guidance, but something that is of mutual benefit. So if I send some $$ there and benefit a child, it's well earned credits for me in Allah swt's book and a child get's educatated. Pride and arrogance is one of the main reasons communities suffer, and you should know that from reading the Qur'an Zobs.
As far as India is concerned, yes they have a lot of growing to do as well.
Why majority of suicide bombers, jehadis, front line terrorist come from lower middle class? Money is the problem. If people have enough money, or jobs for that matter, they wont go into instant gratifications of getting million rupees and blowing themselves up or killing people for money or what not....
Other thing that I once talked about is we need to bring back young age marriages into our social setup. People with a wife and smaller kids are more sensitive and will never hurt others as oppose to 21 to 28 yrs old with no future and no family of their own ..
so what can we do ....?
start with funding charity organizations of Pakland
Invest in Pak stock exchange so Pakistani companies can grow their business and help more people to get jobs
Help NGOs to make people aware of benefit of getting married at younger age.

as TLK said money is the problem, so the money you are sending is only spend on luxuries.
corruption is at its peak. rich are getting richer, and poor are getting poorer
wahan awaay ka awaa bigra howa hai. ppl are waiting for some mircle but they dont dont bother to look at their actions. see this video.
lemme give an example. when i went there her aik ko doseroon k bachoon main keeray nazar arahay thay…or apnay sapoot sub ko sub say zayda shareef lagtay thay.
**honestly, at the moment west should abandon Pakistan. the fact is we are confused. and we dont we see that all the west and its allies are doing is stripping Pakistan!
and our own media (traitors) is favoring west and its allies. **
I agree with Zobia. It's like slow poisoning. Sure without the Aid package, Pakistan as a nation will face countless challenges but on the bright side, we as a people, will learn to become self-sufficient. When Pakistan was last slammed with sanctions, the Armed forces were churning out with productivity based on homegrown talent and with the help of other well-wishing friends.
With that being said, it is also very important to discipline ourselves. All of us have to do the necessary part in making Pakistan work like a well-oiled machine. I'm sure you've all heard "the failure of smallest parts is often sufficient to make the entire machinery stall in its tracks". We cannot expect to have a glorified Pakistan if we are not willing to work for it.
We have so many issues to deal:
Security situation
Economy
Ethics and Law Enforcement
Accountability
These are just few. The public of Pakistan has been numbed in hopelessness to the point that almost a majority of people have adopted the mindset where "if it's not hurting me, i need not make noise", and this very attitude has led to systematic failure of checks and balances. We have not risen up fully as we should have to demand a fair and just system of governance where all are treated equally, be it a wealthy industrialist from the urban centers, or the thugs from backroads of the nation who come out to cause chaos among the population.
This recent incident should serve as electroshock and wake us, as a people. Will it? We'll just have to wait and see <<< Unfortunately, that's precisely what we have been doing for far too long "waiting and seeing".
So the media should behave like the parents eh? Favor their children but find keeray in others?
nah.
The thing is that yes the media has too much freedom and all that, but let me give you an example. In the mid 80s, Punjab India saw a major disturbance in peace, terrorism like you've never seen before. Right behind our home was a gurduwara that housed militants and their weapons and at least 2 times that I remember, some of them jumped our boundary wall and went off to kill some of our neighbors. It's just Allah's protection that none of us were harmed. Girls without dupattas on their heads were dragged off and kidnapped for ransom or were threatened in public markets, schools... oh it was a big fat mess and people were afraid to come out of their homes.
Now, 20 years later, Punjab is one of the safest states in India, one of the most prosperous and most flourishing.
Why not Pakistan? It can be done. I know people are silly, but there are crazy people everywhere man, everywhere. We have to bombard our people with the right message. Someone has to become a spiderman or batman :D

Honestly? I wish Musharraf was never there to begin with. Its people like Ziaul Haq and Musharraf who have put the nation on the cliff.

You might be looking at few but believe me they are not "majority". The problem lies in using excuses to justify your crimes, your actions, to push others down. In case of most militants they use religion as excuse. We need to provide education, not just school education but the education that makes us human being, a civilized being, someone that has morals.
