The number I read was 200,000 rapes though in Bose’s book and other accounts, not many bengali women came forward to terminate pregnancies after the end of the war. Hamoodur Rehman Report had a completely different picture when it was declassified.

We or bengalis / indian never did a thorough investigation unlike holocaust so we are stuck with their word. I think they say that Mujib said 100,000 (dead) in Pakistan, then 1 million in delhi and finally 3 million when he landed in Dhaka. A truth and reconciliation commission should have been set up if either mujib or bhutto were serious about this issue.

When atrocities like this get ignored it just goes to show how heartless that part of the world is. I think army will continue these crimes against the civilians.
