Your argument has merit but NS was not ousted this time because of some outside pressure or the establishment. Let’s stop kidding ourselves. He lost his job because he was caught red-handed because of the leaks. The charges against the family were of money laundering, tax evasion, forgery and lying to the judiciary; too grave by any standards. The army largely stayed neutral during the whole saga. As I said above I would like to see the same yardstick applied to everyone including corrupt bureaucrats and military officials.

The thing that bothered me is the investigation by army intelligence. When you see army involvement then the whole thing goes suspect. I am sure most senior official in the army are living way beyond their means. Why would the military intelligence not investigate millionaire Generals.
