Well i guess thats our culture. Showing affection to wife in front of everyone is considered odd. In the days of our father and grandfather, it was said that husband and wife shouldnt even be seen sitting on the same bed. But now things have changed, one day my son was asking me why dont you kiss mom, dont u love her.

What are we doing wrong? I would like to think I'm more religious than my parents generation, but when it comes to things like this ... my parents hands down get more points ... They are so prudish it makes me wonder how I was ever born.

Maybe because a man being affectionate with his wife makes people think "Get a room!"....whereas if its a relative people tend to think "Aww...isnt that nice/sweet/cute".

That's why. Because people think if a man is nice to his wife, he's automatically "under" her. Its very messed up thinking but it is what it is.
