Having alphabets doesn’t really matter much. Even Sindhi & pashto which claim to have their own alphabets are actually being written in arabic script, like european languages are written in roman script, each with some variation of dots or lines. Similarly, putting a few dots or shapes on arabic alphabets doesn’t make a new script for Sindhi or Pashto.

It was not my dig on Punjabi, and I did not talk about the script cause for that matter Urdu has same script as Arabic, but Urdu is a diff language with its own rules of grammar.
