The reason being, hindustani or hindi speakers are not anywhere near in prosperity, punjabi society is more of materialistic and hindustani society is more philosophical, we consider them as underdeveloped and they considered us more of unreliable, even I trust biharis in Delhi than punjabis:)

The point is not chinese but their arch rival Japanese, the basic word like electron, atoms, ion etc will remain english because english was always language of science because since beginning english accepted science much faster than other.

Do Chinese speak English or use English as a medium of instructions for science subjects?
