I don't see anything wrong with being a silent observer. I haven't been on this forum for 9 years, but I have been reading different threads for a few months.
Sometimes it's just to pass time, sometimes I get ideas and useful information from these threads, specially the household and cooking one. I post when I feel I want to say something, or if I want others opinions about something. I don't see anything wrong with that :s
