Pakistan’s so called support of Palestine was a sham to start with - the only reason that hypocritical stand existed was because Pakistan needed something like that show to the Arabs that the so called ‘Islamic brotherhood’ existed and that they were somehow part of it…all this made sense as long as there was any hope left of being accepted in the Arab club.
Several decades have gone, the Arab club has netted precious little anything and Pakistan actually finds itself more dependent on the great satan today than ever before. On top of that, the Palestinians went on a suiide bobing binge and suddenly Pakistan found that instead being able to get projected legitimacy from the Palestinians to their cross border terror agents in Kashmir, the terror game was up and the terrorist name started sticking.
So why maintain a lie particularly when there’s no benefit? Also by saying it’s a talk to help Israeli Palestenian cause, some people may actually be impressed by the regional power and responsibility!! What a team of statesmen, they will all say.
Who knows, Sharon and Musharaf may end up sharing the dove nobel…Bush may even nominate Gaddafi dude in return for the ‘nucular’ reversal
…you can’t make up this stuff!

I dont think Pakistan's support for Palastine cause was just a demo to Islamic world, could you please let me know if other Islamic countries have prohibitet their nationals from Travelling to Israel ???

The problem is we Paksitani as a whole use to underestimates our abilities when ever and where ever possible, pls change it now and realize atlast that you are a great Nation and act like a gr8 Nation.

the day arab states cut their ties with India and forbid their residents from travelling to india, they can start pointing their fingers at Pakistan for betraying a Muslim cause.

Precisely. We have to take up all the burden of the “islamic” causes right? Time to get even. Pakistanis were idiots to ignore Israel for so long. To think that recignising 'em after 50 years is going to make things any better is stupid too. Not much to gain here, this whole friendship thing, but its worth it just for the sake of proving a point to those idiots partying in their gold-brick palaces.

1) What will be direct benifits of having relationship with Israel ?
