This is the first Govt in the history of Pakistan which want to open doors for Israelis for Pakistan or vice versa the Question is why, which are the hidden powers behind all of this, if we want to do any thing which Uncle Sam wants ???

America has nothing to do with Pakistan wanting relations with Israel. Itâs good for Pakistan. Pakistan will do whatâs good for it. America doesnât NEED Pakistan to have relations with Israel. And Pakistan doesnât really support the Palestinians anyway. And Palestinians are not innocent. They are terrorists and must be dealt with.

The pundits can probably tell you better but I believe the global politics has changed since the end of cold war, and due to globalization energizing South Asia and then we had 9/11. With India getting its way with US more and more every day, and even making deals with China, it is not the same equation for Pakistan anymore. To win global support, befriending Israel on an official level is a publicity stunt.

This is a bit misleading. Pakistan is not seeking friendship with Israel, nor is it extending diplomatic relations. They are simply talking. Talking is the other means of resolving conflict besides fighting. Incase you have not noticed, the fighting part is not going particualrly well for the Palestinians.
Precisely what benefit has been won for the Palestinians after three wars, and two Intifadas? If anything, their plight is worse.
It takes immense maturity to open lines of communication with your enemy. Pakistan has done this with India, and now with Israel. Well done.

I wouldnât really call Israel Pakistanâs enemy. The two countries have had good back door relations since the 50s. Netanyahu has always called Pakistan a moderate Muslim state, and has said that we have no enmity with Pakistan.

This is being framed as a positive development as a result of the Gaza withdrawl. The more points of contact Isreal has with the Muslim world, the more likely they are to find effective information brokers that can help find an eventual settlement with the Palestinians. It is good to see that the Muslim-Politically correct behavior emphasizing discussion over violent jihad. Multiple points of engagement will help defuse the Palestinian issue which has ignited so much hatred in the Muslim world.

Khurram the truth is that India is getting its weaponry from Russia, USA, Europeons and now Israel. Israel is also helping Indians 'contain' kashmiris. They're positively responding to their diplomatic overtures. On the other hand Pakistan has been made a pariah state because we're failing to understand the nature of international politics. All arab leaders have intimated that once Israel withdraws from Palestinian territory and there's some resolution of the dispute, they can recognize Israel as a state. I don't think it's a bad bargain. Two nations living side by side in peace and a viable palestinian state with contiguous boundaries. If things move forward in the right direction we can start talking with Israel openly (or through backdoor channel) and at least keep them from transferring all that cutting edge technology to India that they've developed with the assistance of USA or other countries. It's in our own interest. But it doesn't mean that we don't care about Palestinian people. Having a balanced approach will also help to resolve the issue and end palestianian suffering.

Not really, forgetting the Israel was planning with India on attacking Pakistanâs nuke facilities at one time. Netanyahoo might considered Pakistan as âmoderateâ but he is not necessarily representing all Israelâs feelings.
