musharaf is the leader of pakistan and he takes decisons for the best of pakistan, he is not the leader of islam.
Since when have the Palestinians, or any Arab country for that matter, EVER, even once, uttered a word in support of Pakistan on Kashmir or any other matter?
btw palestinians are fighting for there own country not for islam.
as pakistanis we are here to make our country stronger and better, we are not responsible for the well being of islam.

It's a great move. Please bear in mind that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) did trade with the Jews. Also, there are lots of Israelis that staunchly support the Palestineans in their justified struggle for freedom. Noble Israeli organizations such as Peace Now has made more strives towards fending off encroachments into the Palestinean land, than all the incapable Muslim world combined. The efforts of the Israelis should genuinely be acknowledged; and we should always seek dialogue with those who believe in just solution to the problem.

:-) Very well guys, but just for Info "To those who may concern" if you think with relationship you can stop transfering Technology to India from Israel or stop Israel for providing engineers in case of Making Water dams on rivers flowing to Pakistan or providing military assistence against kashmir Freedom fighting or you will be able to get Technology from Israel without the permission of Uncle SAM then "Wake up...." its time for office no more Dreams.... Hellooo
Few also use to say that If Pakistan will have official relationship with Pakistan then they might have their own offices in Pakistan for opperating for their secret services in Pakistan :-) "Kids Idea..."
I personally appreciate friendship with all, if we can do it with India then why not with Israel ???
People have to change themself, they love to see Indian movies and spend whole the time in front of TV but use to say they hate India "No Munafikat any more!!!"

I'm wide awake honey! You can go ahead and have relations with Taliban and expect strategic depth. They can not only free Kashmiris but can also tackle Israelis.

After all the fanfare, Pak will get nothing of note from recognizing Israel.Israel will have a few small deals with Pak, will continue their relationship with India, and certainly not take Pak's side in any dispute.
The only difference is Musharraf will get another pat on the head from his American masters, which is what this is all about.
There is nothing he won't do to keep their support to stay in power.

Since Isreal is linking all sorts of ties with India, at an alarming rate, Pakistan wants to change its policy on the basis of "If you can't beat'em. join'em" I think the best thing for Pakistan, would be one less wanna be enemy.

Hello! Pakistan didn’t want to talk to Israel because of Palistinians. Things chaned so dramatically in 1988, when Arafat condemned terrorism, accepted U.N., Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, and recognized the State of Israel.
In essence, Pakistan should have accepted Israel back in 1988 when Palistinians did. We have taken 17 years to accept the reality. Well “Dair Ayad, Darust Ayad”!
