Well...unstable pakistan wont be any good for india either...
from what i can gather is that the pakistani intelligence agencies/army are not going full throttle after the taliban due to the threat from india/usa...india is using afghanistan against pakistan...therefore pakistan will try to keep afghanistan unstable so that indians cannot use it for their nefarious designs...
i disagree for keeping afghanistan unstable, but surely pakistan desperately wants friendly govt in kabul and a stable one.
you see its not 60s and 70s if afghanistan has a stable govt and even if it is on good terms with india wont be of much threat to pakistan as stable govt wont interfere or allow interference because india wants it...
furthermore afghanistan is dependent on pakistan doesnt matter how many roads they build connecting them to bandar abbas iran they would still be dependant on us for basic necessities.
furthermore balouchistan is unique case it is not intended to bleed pakistan because given the population it cant have insurgency of that scale remember whol balochistan population is less than karachis population.
Issue here is Gwader port and muharraf plan to hand it over to china, india sees it double threat because of china and pakistans reach to central asia and america see it a threat because of china.
i have heard there has been a underhand understanding reached with US and china not sure what but it wont be used by china for military means or US would be given access to it as well.
although threat is immediate in balochistan but i dont see it becming a major threat because if you remember it is confined to few districts khuzdar, panjgur , kohlu, sui and major action of these indian puppets are blowing up power line, rail line, etc.
