Salam everyone, its been a while that i am trying to find the answer to this question.
As its been stated in Quran that its been protected till the judgement day. One thing I dont get it is: Why Bible, Torah, third book (dont know the name) were not protected the sameway (as Quran)…
Umm ok i dont know much bout it..but frm what i know i wuld say that they r not protected cuz Quran was the final book of Allah..there r sum changes in it and new things that were not mentioned in the old books.. Its like the newest version of Allah's books and will b forever..so it should b protected...cuz all the info in there is true and the newest info
they were not protected cuz Allah wanted Quran to be the Final Book and Muhammad (saw) to be the final prophet....
we r in no position to question God's Will....
thanks for your answers guys, i did alittle more research. one thing really got me was that Quran was written while Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was alive. This process never happened with the other Books. Other three books were simply memorized and no one bothered to write it down.
Its all part of Gods plan. This is what I think...
Man has repeatedly earned God's dissatisfaction thorugh his acts. But God (All Mercifull) forgave man just as many times, and guided man to the right path. This guidance he did not do directly (for a purpose), and sent prophets and books instead. Even after these guindance, man yet again became corrupted. But God forgave and helped yet more, sending more guidance and more books. But the message was always distorted, Allah was always forgotten. Then Allah sent a final book and a final messenger and took upon Himself to protect His book. With this, the message can not change, Allah can not be forgotten, and man has no excuse to sin.
What I mean is; first Allah created Adam and left him and his children alone to worship him. Overtime they became corrupted so Allah decided to help them. They become beleivers again for some time but quickly chaned back to their eveil ways. God helped them again and again, more every time until He helped them to the greatest degree, that is, produced an unchanging final record of His message that would go as a guidance for man till the Last Day.

Thanks again.
I have a question regarding this. Last night I was watching a documentary on Islam on History channel and they said that the Quran was memorized by the Sahabas in the Prophet's time and there was no written version available. After the death of the Prophet, the first caliph ordered a written version compiled from the memories of those that had it memorized and every verse had to have atleast two witnesses to confirm its validity. Is that true or is it true that the Quran was compiled during the Prophet's time? are there any other sources where this can be confirmed?
Verses were memorised as well as written down. However, the compilation took place after PBUH.
two witness or for witness there still is enough room for mistake.. this adhoc manner of data transfer on part of god I just didn;t get it...... there would have been no controversy if god has given power of reading and writting to prophet all of a sudden one fine day ( this woudl have made thigns more believable) imagine an iliterate erson starting to write and read one day noone woudlhave questioned his claim to be a messenger then.. instead god presumably relies on the memoery of people.. sounds tenuous argument to me...
Well firstly its because the Bible is man-made. It was written afte Jesus's death and it was constantly changed. Unlike the quran where there is one version and only one version. The Bible consists of atleast 7 different versions.
The torah again was written by humans. It was rewritten a few times by the jews to fit their own mandates.
The Quran was written down on leaves and on skins before it was transcribed on to paper. I was reading somewhere that 69% of the Quran was written down in varous cloths an other items before it actually became a book.

last paragrpah makes quran more adhoc if what u are sayng is right.. just resaon with urself chit cloths skins pieces having info and then someone compiling it.... i don't see why how when this became fool-proof system.. sounds like crude way of doing things
^ Cynic, you can believe what you want...but if you insist on mocking Islam, I am going to put you out of your misery. We really do not need your input on any of the Islamic issues.
The difference is that we have the highest accuracy among all the books of faith - objectively. We are 100% accurate subjectively.
Unlike all the other faiths including hinduism, ours are documented from the time of the prophet. Everything else that was written by any other faith has been corrupted by humans.

u have nothing to prove this stand of yours else the big statement and if u cud read this thread that's what is being said.. data collection mode is exactly the same in all the cases so to cliam so and so is more accurate is at est grand-standing nothing less nothing more.........
and yeah subjectively everything is right in this world so let us not evengo there
The Bible and Torah were written after the demise of the Prophets and by humans and have been changed. Do you deny this?
Exatly this has happene in case of each and every book including Quran do u deny that if yes then prove it. And what do u mean written by human , who wrote quran may I ask if not human
2. The Quran was written on various parchments before complied. Do you deny this?
and u think while writing bible or any other torah they bought paper from kinkos... man get over this grand-standing that's how in olden days things used to be written there is nothing out of ordinary in it.. Moreovee since when being writtne onparchments became proof enough for anything's purity.......care to enlighten.. parchment is as prone to being mis-quotation mis-representation or any kind of corruption as anythign else........ I just don't get this line of argument
Welcome to ignorance once again. The Quran has never been changed. This is an established fact even the west agrees to. It has been the same for the past 1400 years. Not a single change. Show me one change.
The torah and bible have been changed many times. Do you deny this?
The Bible according to its own words was written at different points in history not at once. You deny this?
You arrival was fortold in Gita, or so I heard. How naive it is to beleive that when no one ever found anything from historical facts to prove anything about fortelling of any sort let alone arrival of muhammad.
