In all your life since childhood, in one or the other form you listen to the poetry/ rythm be it lori of your mother, nursery rhymes and even during religious offerings you deal with the poetic expressions.
Is there anything particular that put you off from poetry?
You mean you didn’t like Lori and rhymes, but over the time you developed taste for poetry. Thats interesting. I still remember our mom’s lori (in her case it was simple repeating of La Ilaha Illallah and praying for our happy and long life). I’m amazed how those simple words make us sleep in moments.
^ Exactly. Thats my point too. People unknownigly use lines from poetry (e.g. Ghalib’s misras) in their normal routine conversation, still they give impression that poetry is not their cup of tea.
**poetry is ‘part N parcel’ of our lives…we advertently or inadvertently been exposed/subjected to poetry all the time…be it paidaaish, shaadii, Ghamii.
we develop fondness/repulsiveness for poetry depending on our situations/circumstances.
i think no one escapes poetry when in love!!! :)**
mystery in the sense? Is it difficult to understand or you can’t relate to it. IMO there are various types of poetry from Hamd O Naat to romantic, from devotional to motivational that can cater needs of different people.
