why not black

why do brides dont wear black lengha or whatever on the weddings :hinna:

i think it would be so cool

I disagree i don't think its outstanding!

Re: why not black

well black is usually associated with a gothic kind of look. And besides black is usually worn as a symbol of either purity or sadness. i wouldn't want to wear black as my wedding dress........no way! lol

loads of people at the wedding wear black then why cant the dulhan wear it too

Re: why not black

valid point! but how i see it is...............its the brides biggest day!! not theirs :p a new start. i don't really know .....mmmm :p

still i dont agree

im going to wear a black lengha on mine :)

Re: why not black

Thats the exact point if loads of other people are wearing it the bride won't stand out, when i go to a wedding i never wear red (and i hate it when there are girls there wearing red lenghas/sari - i'd hate it if someone wore a red lengha/sari on my wedding) - i believe it's the colour for the bride.

Black Wedding joras are becoming more popular than you think; here’s one by a designer for an order a client placed a little while ago:

i dont really like the traditional red bridal lengah. A bride can still wear whatever colour she likes and still be a bride. Why do brides always wear boring red! Break out of the norm you guys:)

Bride always stands whatever colour she is wearing as she is the BRIDE.....:) Having said that, I think black is abit too dull, maybe add hints of colour with the black.

omg…ok i take my word back hehe :stuck_out_tongue: this lehnga is stunning. maybe me and my hubby should marry again and i can wear this hehehe :stuck_out_tongue:

well i dont like red myself!! i absolutely hate the colour red as it is but to wear it on the wedding day, errr not my choice. i wore baby pink on my shaadi with frushia pink stone work.

but after looking at this black lengha…mmmm maybe my view has changed hehe

i have to admit, that is beautifoooooooooooool.

Re: why not black

my friend wore a black and teal lengha for her wedding it was just gorgeousssssss u dont have to go all black, u can have it as a secondary color or for trim and stuff... will xplain mroe later!

I have to admit black and teal looks absolutely gorgeous together!!

Re: why not black

I see nothing wrong with wearing any color at one's wedding. However, I prefer to wear colors that really reflect my feelings and moods. I'm sure I'll be super excited at my wedding and I tend to wear bold, bright colors when I am. So no, black would definitely not be on my list at all.

that lengha is hot. its nomi ansari . he also recently made very pretty pink and black one. It had not occurred to me to even try a black lengha, if it did i would hvae done it! i love the idea

waise i have to say it looks not bad

Re: why not black

Black is not bad, but still a dulhan looks good in Red esp on the Barat. Black might look good on the Valima.......
