I find it so funny these North Indians claiming themselves to be Aryans.. They hijacked the “Swastika” from somewhere and claim they are desendants of Aryans who invaded India some thousand years ago. Why are Indian historians so hell bent upon manipulating the facts when it is so visible that roughly 95% of North Indians are dark-skinned short dravidians, I want your honest opinions guys and gals. In my view only Pakistani Punjabis, Pashtuns, Kashmiris, Iranians and to some extent Sikhs and Sindhis are descendants of Aryan invaders. Indian muslims before converting were lowest caste untouchable Hindus- like Shahrukh Khan and others. Thats the reason Indian muslims (including the ones who migrated to Pakistan) are dark-skinned. ![]()
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
can u post a picture of yourself
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Frankly, i dont give a fook what they call themselves. I understand North India to include East Punjab, Jammu And Kashmir and some other areas tho, so i dunno if these areas have a heavy dravidian population.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
I am not dark skinned, my parents migrated from india ...most indians are not aryans some of them are neither are most pakistanis...only some folks living in nwfp and kashmir are white enough to be called aryans or decsendants of ..sindhis are the same as most hindus in india same goes for a lot of punjabis and mahajirs who are dark skinned. The real Aryans you can find in Afghanistan and Iran ,the older name of afghanistan and iran was Aryana.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Why do you need that? I look like a typical Punjabi.. You can form a picture in your mind.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
I dont get all this aryan descednats crap. Sure, my acnesotrs mght have been aryans froom central asia, but that was THOUSANDS of years ago. In that vast time periods unique and distinct cultures develop. I look pretty caucasian myself, but I dont identify myself with an aryan identity, but a Kashmiri one. my so called 'aryan' past means nothing to me, what means to me is my Kashmiri past and culture, which is very unqique and distinct. Also isnt it quite funny how in our region, people with light skin are much worse off econimically then say dark skinned people?
either way, liek i said before, my ancestors might have been 'aryans', but we do not the same culture with them any more. aryan invasion was thousands of years ago, and over that period of time very unique cultures devellop, therefore, im proud of my Kashmiri culture
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Kind of agree with that :k:
If we go far back enough we would have been something else and besides we’re all a mixture anyway even though we only speak the languages we got from our Aryan ancestors, doesn’t mean we have no other-race ancestors, we’re certainly not Aryan or we’d be white, we’re only partially descended from them taht’s why we speak Aryan languages.. It’s funny how mainstream ppl in europe don’t care about these things anymore but retrogressive Asians still do.. Baaki duniya chaand tak ja pohnchi aur ham kin uljanhon mein mubtila hain…?
I guess when it comes to ethnnicity we’re Pashtun, Punjabi or Kashmiri (if mixed then depending on what our fathers are because that’s our tribe, homeland and identity)… Untill all Pakistanis start intermarrying/migrating and adopt Urdu and become one ethnicity over time..
One thing is true though most Indians are pure Dravidian whilst Pakistanis and NW Indians a mix, my only reason for stating this fact is that Pakistanis inherited their Vedic/Sanskritic language whilst most Indians adopted it from our forefathers…
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
To the author:
You are saying the Muslims migrated from India are dark skinned. That is because majority of people in India, Muslism or not, are darker than the people in Pakistan.
Now, that you have seen only the Indian Muslims which have migrated to Pakistan, you are labelling only them as black(which also is a bit not true).
So my outline is that it was not mostly the low-caste hindus that converted to Islam. There were many high-caste ones. And they too are equally ratioed dark.

Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Can anybody explain where did these aryans come from ??
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
You must read ancient Vedic Sanatan Dharma, before rushing yourself into such conclusions.
Learned western scholors like Max Muller, who studied ancient Vedic sanskrit and translated the most ancient sacred texts of Aryans like RigVeda, have said the following…
““I have declared again and again that if I say Aryans, I mean neither blood nor bones, nor hair nor skull; I mean simply those who speak an Aryan language… To me an ethnologist who speaks of Aryan race, Aryan blood, Aryan eyes and hair, is as great a sinner as a linguist who speaks of a dolichocephalic dictionary or a brachycephalic grammar.” –Max Müller”"
I believe you can neither utter any ancient Sankrit hymns nor your parents have any link with Sanskrit language..so if you continue to consider yourself as an Aryan based on your skin color that means you are enjyoying your ignorance.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
agree with that

Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
This whole post is racist crap.... There are no caste in Islam thats why they joined.
I still see black people joining Islam cause they consider that they are not treated equally.
Lower caste always converts and thats the fact.
Alot of people know that lower cast convert indian hindu Shahrukh and you are nobody posying on GupShup.
What a retard.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Who cares about light skinned or dark skinned... Race is irrelevant and not important as we're mixed race anyway but Pakis are descended from the Vedic people and Indians by large are not, that's just a historical fact. I think dark skin can be sexier than light skin anyway, I've seen lots of light people but I find it pheeka, I like my yellowish complexion best anyway... and everyone is equal..
Khair most South-Asian from the northern bits have pretty much the same culture and language but that's not because Pakistanis are copying anyone else, rather it's the other way round with Indians and other South-Asians who adopted descendent-languages of Pakistani Sanskritic languages.

Looks like you are rewriting history. When was Pakistan born ?
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
Among countries IRAN-AFGHANISAT-PAKISTAN-INDIA
Only we pakis don’t call them self aryans—or we don’t give rats behind to aryan thingi
Which is a blessing to pakistan.
Re: Why North Indians call themselves Aryans?
I swear by my sacred and great river Indus you Bhindians can be so thick sometimes…
A new name for our region doesn’t change the history of our people and our land.
I’m well aware that the presentday state of Pakistan was born on 14th August 1947 (one day before the presentday state of India) but that doesn’t mean God came down on that day and said “and then there was Pakistan, it’s people, the rivers, the trees etc.”, yes we got a new name “Pakistan” but all nations change names after a time…
Yes Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and upon becoming Muslim the things we considered sacred changed but that doesn’t change our history… I’m proud to be Muslim but our history is ours even if it’s mere souvenirs to us… Greeks don’t think sh*t of their pagan gods but they’re still Greek… We changed religion but we still have claim to our land, culture and language..
Maybe you are under the illusion that Pakistan was always a part of this great big country called Ancient India, I’m sorry but that’s just not true… Yes we were part of the same empires, be they Nepali, Arabian, Persian, British etc. but an empire is not a nation, the Persians didn’t become Greek by being a part of the Greek empire..
The people of Pakistan have always been racially quite distinct from the rest of South-Asia, being a Aryo-Dravidian amalgam whilst most Indians (even those from the north) are mostly pure Dravidians, historically Pakistan/Indus-Valley was the cradle and center of the Vedic and Harrapan-Mohenjadaro civilisations (I admit a teeny bit was in presentday nw India) whilst the rest of South-Asia adopted culture and religion from our forefathers and then built on to that but the basis for other South-Asian culture came from us hence the cultural/linguistic similarities today..
Racially we have as much similarities with our western neighbours as our eastern but I guess race is irrelevant in this day and age… Geographically and culturally we are a part of South-Asia and the same as other South-Asians because they adopted our langauges and of course the religion that was not good enough for us…
..But one thing I’m against is using Indian as synonomous to South-Asian, I think we’ve established that Pakistan is distinct from the rest of South-Asia even though we’re culturally the same (as they adopted our culture) so from now on at least we Pakistanis should use terms like “South-Asian Subcontinent” or “South-Asian” cuisine instead of Indian…
India might be the biggest country in South-Asia but it certainly isn’t the original… If Indians want to relate to our heritage as fellow South-Asians then they’re wellcome but they shouldn’t act like Pakistan is a country without any history and try and steal our heritage, we might have changed in many ways as all nations do but our history is not anyone elses.. I swear by the lifeline of my country, my great River Indus that I feel we are far superior to our eastern neighbours.. ![]()
