It's a known fact that majority(more than 90%)of male AIDS patients have had sex with a man. overwhelmingly majority of females, who contract this virus have partners who have had gay sex. Go and ask some doctor if you've a misconception about this issue. ignorance is not always a bliss.get your facts right before supporting such people.

This is such a pathetic, UNNATURAL phenomenon, glamorized by the west, where gays are dying of various STDs.
Why does the media in a supposedly Islamic country need to highlight this garbage?
Shame on us muslims in supporting this issue!!!
Have we all forgotten that Prophet Lut's people were given the severest of punishments because of this indecency?
To all the gay rights activists, notice one thing in a gay couple whether male or female. one partner is always the masculine version, and the other the feminine version.
If this thing was so natural, then why dont both be who you are? why does one have to assume a powerful manly position and the other the girly/feminine position in the relationship?

There are so many international channels talking about it and the ones who are open towards it are educated and broad minded people i.e. educated who can understand English while the ones who are not really willing to talk about it or are not open about it (in general) aren't educated to understand the language then whats the point of talking about this issue on Pakistani channels...If you want to talk about it or know about it just switch the channel and watch those channels.

It will just make a lot of people uncomfortable, so it's better not to talk about it. Frankly, I don't think I can watch a show with my family where one of the characters is gay or something like that.

I have nothing against gay people, but I'm not comfortable with them either.

Even on american TV shows, homosexuality is not a very common theme. Recently Grey's anatomy showed one such relationship after it came under fire from LGBT. Modern family and true blood have shown gay relationships, but even in these shows like others, the main characters are straight. It's usually the supporting characters that are gay (to keep LGBT happy). Anyways my point being that though homosexuality is more acceptable in USA than Pakistan, it's still not part of main stream media.

and purrlease the indian movie "dostaana" MOCKED homosexuality and made it seem like something you laugh about and not take seriously. so whoever thinks that gays are accepted in indian media needs to think again..

If Pakistani dramas can be about prostitutes, murderers, extramarital affairs, etc. and the public doesn't complain about it, then why bring in Islam when gays are the subject matter?

This subject is discussed in Quran. Prophet Lout's Nation was GAY. He always told them to marry with women but they did not listen to him. We should read Quran to know that these things are not from west and these are not new at all.
When Quran say that it is Haram, we should know first what it is, understand it and only then we can be away from it. If we don't know,what it is, how can we say that it is not allowed or it is Haram.

ok, i am a bit confused now. are you sure that prophet Luth (AS) qoam was homosexual, or they just had sexual relationship with same gender? because there is a difference. As far as my knowledge goes (i am not knowledgeable at all, so this is really just a question to people who actually have knowledge or care to research before they put any statement) that they were punished because they had sexual relationship with same gender, NOT because of they were homosexuals.
According to my knowledge homosexuality is related to mental issues. Where having sexual relationship with same gender is more about "tafreeh" (i am sorry i can't put it in better words then that).
I have heard that in more frontier areas of pakistan the "pathan" there have to give huge amount of money to a girl's parents in order to get married to her. sometimes it takes them years and years to save that money, since that area of pakistan is very restrict and you can't really get a girl easily, the men there engage their selves to same gender sexual relationship. when the earth quake of 2005 happened a lot of people said that it was the reason behind that "azab" (which is another debate, and just for the record, i DO NOT support that point at all, i am just sharing what i know), those pathan people aren't your typical "american gay" people either. they are just the victim of bay-rah-ravih.

Yes Prophet Lout AS Qoam was homosexual. They were not doing it just for "tafreeh". Go and read Quran.

There are certain realities which exist in every religion man and woman…

One cannot just runaway from these subjects, facts are facts and so are fictions… I have 2 gay colleagues at my office. Our company is a Arab company, but we are not throwing them or stonning them… I say give everyone their right to live!!!

ok so prophet lut (as) was a gay before he became a prophet and got allahs commandments. after that he told others about the right path.

i never knew this and always thought he was a prophet straight from the beginning as in totally pure (though he wasnot bad as in he was only into this bad thing till he became a prophet...he left this bad kaam when he got gods commandments)

Correction:- he NEVER said that prophet Lut (AS) himself was gay. His QOUM (nation/tribe) had homosexual tendencies and openly used to practice it. Prophet Lut (AS) tried to stop them and he himself WAS NOT part of it.

Note:-guys be careful with what you read and then attribute with Prophets and God's messengers. If something is not clear then seek advice from some scholar or study reliable books on topic. DO NOT take anything off Internet as authentic source, bEcause it could very well be a case of misinterpretation (like this one).
