This subject is discussed in Quran. Prophet Lout’s Nation was GAY. He always told them to marry with women but they did not listen to him. We should read Quran to know that these things are not from west and these are not new at all.
When Quran say that it is Haram, we should know first what it is, understand it and only then we can be away from it. If we don’t know,what it is, how can we say that it is not allowed or it is Haram.

ok, i am a bit confused now. are you sure that prophet Luth (AS) qoam was homosexual, or they just had sexual relationship with same gender? because there is a difference. As far as my knowledge goes (i am not knowledgeable at all, so this is really just a question to people who actually have knowledge or care to research before they put any statement) that they were punished because they had sexual relationship with same gender, NOT because of they were homosexuals.
According to my knowledge homosexuality is related to mental issues. Where having sexual relationship with same gender is more about “tafreeh” (i am sorry i can’t put it in better words then that).
I have heard that in more frontier areas of pakistan the “pathan” there have to give huge amount of money to a girl’s parents in order to get married to her. sometimes it takes them years and years to save that money, since that area of pakistan is very restrict and you can’t really get a girl easily, the men there engage their selves to same gender sexual relationship. when the earth quake of 2005 happened a lot of people said that it was the reason behind that “azab” (which is another debate, and just for the record, i DO NOT support that point at all, i am just sharing what i know), those pathan people aren’t your typical “american gay” people either. they are just the victim of bay-rah-ravih.
