If done rightly, arrranged marriages gives one a much better oppurtunity to find a suitable spouse. One cannot meet enough singles of the right age and requirement on his own. Its good to keep in contact with match makers, if there is a suitable match, explore about it, meet the family and the person, try to get to know each other more, have a period of engagemnt before marriage.
Guys do think like this. Even the ones who use the said women to “enhnace their life experiences.” I’ve even heard this type of talk from non-Desi non-Muslim guys.
