Salam,

Its that simple, just lower your gaze. But noo, especially in today’s society, its a MUST for every guy to Rate EVERY single girl that passes by him.

ANd if they’re in a group with other guys, they’ll pass comments to act "cool’'.

Well I have a story for you, its a disturbing SICK story!!!

We went to some bbq, and i didn’t know half the people there, and it was kinda far from where I live (Bluffers park in scarborough, for those that know, and I live in brampton..), So i needed a ride back, and these guys offered to give me a ride home.

And Im serious, every single girl/women/aunty that would pass by in a car, or they pass by on the street, they would start honking, and yelling, and teasing, is this the norm now?

Anyway thats not even the sick part, We were driving down this road, when the guys spotted 4 girls, you cudn’t see their front, but from the back, they were dressed provactively, so you cud see alot :S

Typical as they were, they started passing comments, and one guy is like “Ooh man, ***** ****** if i was with the one in the middle in ********* i would do ***** this and that..”.i don’t think i need to mention any terminology here.

So when we got closer to them, the guy rolled down his window, and was about to say something, when he realized…that girl..in the middle…was his SISTER!!!

With her friends!!!

ANd you should have seen the speed at which the guy drove away, and the look on his face.

All the other guys were just making fun of him, and everything was back to normal?!

like it didn’t disgust them at all :S?

What has happened to us? Whos fault is this really!?

Anyway, if girls dress provocatively, they should expect these kinda things, in fact thats what they want when they dress that way. Did the guys say anything to girls in islamic dress?
LoL, it doesn't matter if its a guy or girl on the street, if we feel like it, we'll have some fun...it's all in good fun tho.

What I dun understand is why cant a man and a woman just walk normally down the street??

why make it a big issue of lowering gazes and what not.

most of the stupidity starts there...

abay its a street to come and go

This attitude that girls who dress less "deserve" to be mistreated by guys is so archaic. Please get out of 1600's Indian village thinking.

Does it matter what they were wearing? Islamically speaking, you aren't supposed to do that at all (regardless of how they are dressed) even in the name of "good fun".

It's true that no girl deserves to be treated like this no matter how less of clothing they wear BUT the way we dress tells a lot about our personality, morals, background and wether we like it or not,.even how we get treated by the opposite sex.

so if a girl is wearing skirt and a shirt she will be treated differently then a girl wearing pants.

its the backward mentality, not the person dressed.

I tell you what, I am fully covered with loose clothing except my hands and face and I hear things said about me as well. There is this cab driver who I use regularly to take me places and a few times he has told me what guys have said about me. I did not by any means even ask him but he just told me out of the blue.

The stuff they say is GROSS. Point being, its not just cause of the way one dresses.

Just one example, "she has a nice _ _ _, I'd like to get with that..." etc etc...

He's only mentioned non-muslims to me.

its sick…ive noticed its normally the dumb uneducated ones who do this. I remember once i went to some shops with my bro…and when we were walking out of one shop in the car park…there was about 4 desi guys who walked passed us and they were talking really dirtilly about some white girl they had seen…saying things like what colour bra she was wearing etc.etc. its disgusting…how would they like someone talking like that about their sister :yukh:

and afridi…you are wrong…if a girl dresses in whatevr way, it doesnt give guys a right to talk like that about her…and cressi said that these sick minded guys were talking like this about EVERY girl they saw…which is totally unacceptable.
