@vroom
Salaam. Just to answer your question to mughal. Mughal has no understanding of Qur’an. I know this after what I read from his link which was a long essay on what he believes is Islam and what the Quran is. I have posted a bullet point post summarising his link above. Mughal is confused and misinformed. Mughal will not answer your questions just as mine gave been unanswered. Ignore his posts. Wasalaamualaikum warahimatullahi wabarakatuhu.
I am not big fan of pakistani scholars but I would like to point it out one thing, that for an urdu reader learning arabic is piece of cake. (Speaking from experience-)
I would think a big majority of pakistani scholar would have complete arabic understanding.(what they do with it is different story)
Arabic has some extra ordinary qualities even a beginner like me can appreciate.
On my book there is one ayat with urdu translation, total of 7 arabic words… I translated carefully it in english.
Here is what I found.
arabic 7 words.
urdu 18 words.
englist 21 words.
Reason I did it was, I had heard from non muslim scholar of quran, that when you translate quran you put so many words to cover the meaning.
From another new convert, he said “every line was packed with meanings”
So I think arabic was picked for quran for a reason.
Yes it was picked for a reason. Arabic was picked at a time when it was at the peak of excellence. Allah always does what is best and He is the best of Planners. Also not sure if you were making this point but Nouman Ali Khan is an American Pakistani teacher and da’ee. So he speaks Urdu and English both.
Dear brother Thornewood, I am sorry if I have come across as a rude person but we must accept our limits ie we human beings including both you and I have limits in our understanding of things as well as explaining them to others. Sometimes it is better to not to waste our time on arguing over things which deliverer of explanation or receiver of explanation finds difficult to deliver or to understand. If anyone cannot understand what I have explained in detail from my point of view then for the time being that is the best I could do so no point in trying to say it is your fault or mine. It is because either you have not reached the level of understanding needed for my explanation or that I have not reached the level of ability to deliver an explanation to your satisfaction. So there is no point in trying to hide behind excuses or in trying to blame each other. May be next time if I am still around I will improve my delivery or that by that time you will have developed a better ability to understand things which could compensate for my lacks in explaining things. Meanwhile we should move on and keep reflecting and if anything better comes to my mind I can come back on the same thing or may be you can come back and explain things better.
Mean while I wish, God blesses you with all the best.
AGAIN you are just making up your own random post which has nothing to.do with what my post was about. I am asking you to answer my questions. The questions are clear. And I understood your post and that is what I am asking questions about. You unfortunately don’t seem to be able to give a simple reply to simple questions. And seeing as how I spent a good amount of time in actually reading your link which wasn’t even relevant to the topic of dua or qadr I find it extremely rude and just arrogant that you now will not even have the decency to reply to the post YOU wanted me to read.
The problem isn’t my understanding I understood your post and that’s why I am now asking questions about it. The problem isn’t your explanation, you haven’t explained anything about your post. Who is hiding behind excuses? Who is blaming who? You’ve just made up your own opinion! Forget anything better coming to mind why don’t you just answer the questions I asked about your post? You are just wasting everyone’s time. And again no salaam at the end? Are you Muslim?
I’m going to keep asking. I don’t care if it comes across as crazy. Ive noticed for a while now mughal1 posting all these random posts about improving Islam. Obviously its been done to get attention well my attention is fixed now. I want answers. If you talk the talk then have the decency to walk the walk.
Has anyone ever actually read and then questioned his posts? Because I have and now its like talking to a blank wall. That does sound like a psychological issue what you’ve just described. So you guys just ignore him then? Has anyone actually confronted him about his posts? Thanks your reply, really appreciate it.
Making sincere dua can change the initial outcome, so I have been told.
Also, you retain ‘free-will’- the ability to change the final result/outcome by your actions. It’s down to you as well.
Why make dua? Because it’s a way in which one communicates with Allah (SWT), for you to tell Him all your worries, all your happiness, everything. He wants you to talk to Him, pour everything out, thank Him and remember Him and everything He’s blessed you with. It’s a chance to get closer to Him.
Well..Dua is an ibadah!. The way i think is this. Who is going to fulfill my needs in this world and here-after other than Allah. Who knows, if i ask and beg Allah..Allah forgives my previous sins. I think dua as an opportunity to open your heart to Allah..who..if every human being from beginning of creation to end of creation is given everything..not even dip of treasures will reduce. So why limit yourself??? Food for thought.
jab davaa kaam nahiiN kartii to du’aa kar jaatii hai. aisaa hamaaraa ba_Haisiyat ek musalmaan 'aqeedah hai.
would you NOT take a terminally sick person to the doctor/hospital knowing that he/she will NOT make it? du’aa is “HOPE” like taking the patient to the doctor in hope of getting a treatment/lessen his/her pains.
