Peace frodo
This is Paul's version of what happened and how he argued against Peter and him casting blame on others shows his blatant stance against such personnages.
Paul's account of what happend is undesputed from the eyewitnesses of his time, therefore, I have no reason to doubt that it actually happened. It is believed that Luke penned paul's letters. Paul was called by Jesus to spread the gospel to the gentiles, so Jesus endorses Paul as well. Why don't you?
It was his debating tactics and not the scripture that he used to create support for his own stance.
You have nothing to base that on. It all lines up with the other eyewitness accounts and the disciples approved of Paul's letters, so you're have no basis for this.
What sort of a claim is this that if one eats with non-Jews then his way has become like the way of non-Jews?
That's not the point. Peter was a Jew, just like Jesus and the disciples. Do you like Jews? Peter grew up believing that he shouldn't associate with non-Jews. Peter began to shun the non-Jews (Gentiles) and Paul rebuked him for it. Peter never denied that he did this. Paul's writings are almost unanimously accepted as genuine.
It is a fallacious argument and no one was allowed to write in at the time why it was so simply fallacious.
Non of it is fallicious. Where do you get that idea?
Simple fact is that to entice people to the way of God one must dine with them and be brotherly to them.
Paul rebuked Peter for NOT associating with Jews. So you are mistaken. Yes, we can eat with people. I ate over my muslim friends house. There is nothing wrong with that. I do not honor you god though. I only honor the Lord, God of the bible.
Then in time when they accept the creed matters then they will emulate the outer forms also. There is no double standard that Paul has so cleverly made to seem exists here.
Here is what Barnabas says in the last verse of his Gospel:
222 After Jesus had departed, the disciples scattered through the different parts of Israel and of the world, and the truth, hated, of Satan, was persecuted, as it always is, by falsehood. For certain evil men, pretending to be disciples, preached that Jesus died and rose not again. Others preached that he really died, but rose again. Others preached, and yet preach, that Jesus is the Son of God, among whom is Paul deceived. But we, as much as I have written, that preach we to those who fear God, that they may be saved in the last day of God's Judgement. Amen.
I don't respect the Quran as a valid source, since it was not written by the eyewitnesses of Paul's day. I can say that Paul replaced ceasar as the Emporer of Rom, that doesn't make it true. I wasn't there and that assertion contradicts the bible and actual secular history, therefore you know that it's false. It's the same with the koran. Think about it. I know it's not a pleasent thought to think that for you, but it's the truth. I know that you want to believe what's actually true, so think about that.
Reference to Paul being deceived is also in the Dead Sea Scrolls.
I would doubt that since the dead sea scrolls predate the New testiment times. Funny you should bring up the dead sea scrolls, since they are the oldest known manuscripts of the bible, predating the previous ones by more than 1500 years, yet they PROVE that the bible has been accurately preserved. Yes, God can and will preserve His word like He said He would. The Quran directly contradicts the bible (written by the eyewitness, by the Holy Spirit through men) What does this tell you about the Quran?
My response is in bold above.
