actually there is a difference on opinion on the fact whether it is mandatory or not. However can you find me any ruling from any scholar(you dont count) where they say that it is against islam therefore should be ridiculed?
Why does it put a bee in your bonnet if somebody wants to practise it? and who gives you the right to make fun of it? arent you trying to impose your belief on the matter on others? or is difference of opinion is only to be respected when it meets your specific criteria. Firenze we all have our notions and interpretations of religion i hope you realize that it is very low to humiliate others because they donot prescribe to your views.
