i have seen it before on youtube and some people there have called it a fake as well, anyhow the purpose is to poke ridicule at culture that finds its roots in the religion we all share. even decent non muslims would find it a hideous attempt at humour.
I've seen women asking for screens and lifting-up the veil.. but the one stuffing her mouth over the opening seems extremely fake! People with niqaab's don't let people take pics either..
mate whether you call is mandatory ,obliagtory of upto an individual doesnt change the fact that it was practised by um ul momineen. may be if you think it is enlightened to make fun of how people choose to practise their religion then we do have a difference of opinion. as i said it will classify as crude attempt at humour in civilised circles of any culture.
actually there is a difference on opinion on the fact whether it is mandatory or not. However can you find me any ruling from any scholar(you dont count) where they say that it is against islam therefore should be ridiculed?
Why does it put a bee in your bonnet if somebody wants to practise it? and who gives you the right to make fun of it? arent you trying to impose your belief on the matter on others? or is difference of opinion is only to be respected when it meets your specific criteria. Firenze we all have our notions and interpretations of religion i hope you realize that it is very low to humiliate others because they donot prescribe to your views.
