Heres my personal opinion on the matter…
If I was in Zawyiah I would surely fight against Gadafi forces but I would be just as against the US or any other imperialist army coming into my country.
Why? Becuase despite the so called strategic bombing and surgical precision history shows clearly that Civillians are going to suffer even more when the West goes in to “help”… really it’s an invasion carte blanche.
Your right when you say this.
Offcourse not… but what possibly makes you think the West will do anything better? In fact the West is going to kill many many more people if it gets directly involved.
I am all up for a no fly zone… and giving the Natives arms maybe even small scale millitary support but nothing like another Iraq.
Libyans are stuck with a terrible choice here… fight it out and maybe risk losing a war, even your life… but saving your country… or sell out your country to live in debt even occupation.
My heart bleeds just like yours Ehsan Uncle but I’m sure you understand what I am saying as well… Gadafi is a tryrant, I couldnt give a monkeys if he was skinned alive but the Libyans themselve are not willing to be occuopied and the UK and America are like Vultures watching a dying country… in fact I think the Imperialists are biding thier time and letting Gadafi use up his ammo first before they move in…
Seriously what the world needs to do is have the UN put its foot down for once… If the Americans and British garuntee they are not in it for self serving motives and are going to do it purely to save lives then fine they can go ahead… but like you said pigs flying is more likely…
