Re: Why is music considered haram?
My take with rules is simple. If I want to follow a system, I follow the rules of the system too without questioning. If I dont want to follow the system then I should not question the rules cause it does not matter. I made a decsion to follow islam, so I am going to submit to all the subsets of that system (rules/policies/laws), so I should not question the rules. You dont follow Islam so it should not matter what the rules are, so you should not question them either.
Tell you what. When you question the rules of a system while you are not a follower of that system, you are actually justifying why you dont follow it. Justification is a proof itself that your choices are not normal. Its like you will see Gay pride parade, but how many times have you seen a straight people pride parade on the street?. Why? Because hetros dont have to justify their act. They are normal.
